You have a point there. That's why my dad said he doesn't want to settle down in singapore(even though he had held PR status there last time)..
it's not easy to live there permanently... especially even if you get PR status... you are never considered a singaporean...
although in recent years due to diminishing younger generation and population count.. they are trying to get more people into the country to increase the population count and the laws might be due for some changes some time in the future because of this...
furthermore, if you think of it... if your dad stayed where he is... you will most probably not have a front lawn in a landed property as you most probably do now... maybe not even a car for all you know..

Is it possible to work in thailand if one doesn't speak the language there?
there are quite a lot of expats in thailand.... the native's england is not top notch... but you can pretty much have a conversation with most people in the working circle...
so, it's no big problem for a malaysian to go over... at least food is not a problem in the first place for malaysians as we more or less eat thai food over here as well....

hongkies are opportunists... they did that 'cause they thought that hong kong would become "backward" once it's taken over by china.. only to find out that hong kong still remains prosperous after that. And that's why they returned to hong kong..
it's the same like how some people in malaysia think that sometime in the future malaysia will be overtaken by islamic... dun over-react... that is the main point

I would have to think twice before purchasing it.. since it's a lot of money involved..
who knows... you never heard of impulse purchases?

Then why you asked me that question?
Or you're just sayin' things..
i am just telling you the possible outcome of buying fitear in japan in case you are interested...
even if you don't get to harass her ear molds... there might be one or two autographed posters in their HQ for all you know and you can camwhore / selfie away with it? i don't know... it might or it might not happen...

Well, I did that for her singapore concert... as I had to go back to school on Monday anyways..
the thing is singapore is so near it's like going downtown KL in the most extreme traffic jam possible...
i had once or twice had to travel to singapore for a full day meeting mid-week... didn't want to fly in the night before and flying in the morning before is cutting it too close... so, i drove there midnight having worked the previous day, had my meeting, went for a dinner with my colleagues and drove back that night itself all in one day... and i had to go back to work on time the next day...
so, i doubt you will do that if you ever visit anything beyond 4 figure mileage outside of malaysia...
