I'm a fan of YUI too. Bought her orange garden pop and green garden pop when I was in HK last year(yet to open them).
Too bad I prefer her solo stuff more than her flower flower stuff...

Ironically, the songs that you mentioned are actually the songs that I dislike..
Maybe you should give songs innocent starter, wild eyes or hime murasaki a listen..

I think 7500 yen(about RM230 according to google) for a concert is still reasonable.. that's why I wonder why the tickets for NMLF+ in SG is so expensive compared to her concerts in Japan..
Even taylor swift's concert also costed around RM300 for the cheapest tier..

I'm an introvert too... but I still attended Nana's concert(alone somemore)..

One of my teachers also said that I won't be able to survive in uni if I'm like that..

as i said before... mizuki is the entertainer (showmanship) that hikaru will never be and hikaru has the liberty to produce songs the way she wants it as she is given all the liberty and freedom by her record company to do whatever she wants...5 japanese albums not counting the island def jam produced ones and the ones under cubic U in the span of almost 10 years is not really gonna make anyone proud or any record company rich for that matter... in fact, i trust avex will be strangling ayumi hamasaki if she takes longer than 1 year to make an album...

not only does she have control over her songs....

she practically gives a rat's ass about her image as well and jus let go whenever she likes it... i believe if ayumi gains anything more than 50 grams... she will be pulling her hair out...

that being said, i am not saying that nana has piss poor songs written for her... she doesn't have the liberty of slacking around and go do soul searching with her doggy until the right songs pops in her head and she is complicated by the fact that she started out not being a mainstream artiste...

she gained fans in the likes of the otaku crowd and as you know.. otakus are crazy lonely people who longed for female companion that never came... hell, anyone touching their nana mizuki poster risk possibly getting their hands chopped off...so, imagine them getting the news that nana mizuki is defecting the nerd camp and joining the mainstream elites... i bet you there will be a homicide case in tokyo that you never want to hear about...

so... they are both equally talented in their respective sense...

because it's SG and their hyper kiasu...

SPM add maths is rather easy for me(got an A+ for it)..

STPM maths is much tougher for me as it's a struggle to even get an A(too many difficult questions asked in the paper).

naw i'm pretty much an introvert myself even irl.
i may be a *bit* of a stud (i'd like to believe ) as my upper body is beefing up recently since >20kg wheels does require some muscles

it's like strawberry and chocolate sundae... both is equally good and have it's own specialty and i wish to eat both if possible... not just allowed to only taste 1 flavor..

it's not like they are going to me my wife right? so monogamy is most certainly not in the question at all from the beginning...

this is why i said it's complicated as she herself says she enjoys doing voice over work as well... which means she has to split her time in between music making and doing her voice over work...

hard to decide too...utada hikaru has that one kind of voice (except for boku wa kuma) which is more easily acceptable while still kinda unique while nana mizuki can flip and change personality at any point in time....it's like the naive / tame looking girl against the unpredictable wild cat in that respective... just like wanting a certain someone who excites you every minute you spend when you are out to have fun but coming home to someone who is level headed and mature and won't annoy you when you want to be relaxed...

on the other hand... nana mizuki sometimes over employs certain aspects of her singing prowess a bit too much like using a bit too much vibrato (maybe her enka training a big factor in that)...utada hikaru does that earlier in her career too but at some point later seems to have toned down (watch her do a rendition of yutaka ozaki's i love you in bohemian summer live 2000)

technical wise... i think nana mizuki wins hands down most probably as she has more vocal training work done most likely (i think)... it's somewhat apparent that hikaru especially in her vocal slides where she cannot transition smoothly in between very contrasting notes (if you see the making of goodbye happiness where she was trying to convey a message to the background singers on how she wants them reach into the note) among other quips about her voice... it doesn't help especially when people compare her live singing and there is even people who says that her tracks are autotuned... i believe it's utilized but not to make her vocals sound perfect but give her that almost wah wah effect like in some songs

majority of japanese concerts are not tiered, it's luck dependent.
thus the *ACTUAL* price may be a lot higher as people who gotten front rows will hike up the price to people who are interested.

it's actually a very well known practice despite being scorned at.
apparently I've heard that Some smaller/fan oriented concerts on the other hand are screened/scrutinized so such acts are deterred such as verifying your house address with the address you entered when you purchase the ticket.

and yes, i would say it is your selfish thinking; No one can really predict how one would end up if they started out mainstream as supposedly it would be harsher.
who'd know if she would end up being a no name if she went mainstream.

while in anime, all it takes is a decent anime/role or a decent theme song for a popular anime and voila, ride on that momentum and you'll strike gold.
regardless of anime/mainstream, the entertainment industry is harsh and there's really no prediction of what will happen.
