Moto 360 responds to your voice. Just say “Ok Google” to ask questions like “What time is the Malaysia vs Singapore football game today?” or “Is it raining?” or you can ask for directions like "Navigate me to KLCC". It's really helpful especially when you're riding or cycling, bcs you don't have to stop. You can also use your voice to schedule an appointment, send a text, set an alarm or take a note and etc

To be honest, the battery life should really sucks because it uses TI Omap3, which I think is a 3 years old soc.
Other smartwatches uses snapdragon 400.

The guy in the video, he is turning off the screen whenever it is possible.
Most people prefer the screen to be on all the time, even if it is dimmed.

QUOTE
At the most basic level, this watch has a TI OMAP 3 for the main application processor. From a performance perspective the OMAP 3 is a solid and simple choice, packing a Cortex-A8 CPU alongside a PowerVR SGX 530 GPU, reflecting the fact that wearables don't require anything near cutting edge performance. However this choice in SoC is oddly out of date on the manufacturing side as OMAP 3 was produced on a now dated 45nm process. Though the Moto 360 doesn't need the performance benefits from from newer 28nm or 20nm processes, these newer processes can deliver similar performance with lower power consumption, which would seem to be a boon for a space and power constrained device such as a watch.

Wonder why too, one reason I can think of is cutting cost. Old processor require more space too which should be filled with more battery.

There is no point in having the screen on at all times since moto 360 brings up the display everytime you flick your wrist. I guess it is personal preference then, those who like to have it on all the time can go for the G Watch R instead, with smaller screen and fixed outer ring face.

+1 The most logical thing is to have it on WHEN you want to watch it, it makes no sense to always on the display even when your not glancing or watching the display IMHO

so that means, if it acts as a watch the battery could last longer.

your forwarder and MY of course. laugh.gif

Although reviews didn't comment much with TI OMAP and the performance on videos seem ok, however, I'm abit skeptical with the future where more features are coming to SW.

Heeerrmmm....WHy don't they use S400? sweat.gif

Actually moto often pick dated processor. Moto X that what call special make processor is just simply saving cost not others.

Now new moto X 2014 also use slighly dated 801 but still ok, lucky is not 800. I said slighly because now is Sept not Feb.

This 360 is using superb dated processor.

The good is moto well optimize, maybe not also as moto is running pure android like nexus. So they should not be any performance issue.

But I don't use forwarder. I'll be teaming up with my friend in the US like how I did with Moto X (1st Gen.)

First, we have no idea when Motorola is gonna restock, and how many there will be. 2nd, we don't know how long(yet) it'll take for it to be delivered, but Moto X (1st Gen.) used to take 7 days. 3rd, from US to MY, it may take 6-10 days

This website claims that they are able to get it by end of September, can this website be trusted? also at RM1100, wouldn't it be too expensive?
