Yeah, hopefully that's TLG assuring the world that there will be enough stock for everyone, not only just for EU and USA... rclxms.gif
With that quantity will kena 10% tax from Kastam Malaysia. So have to add RM95 (10%) + DHL handling fees.

Also if we are to transfer money to you via PayPal then the forex rate is also higher so realistically it still doesn't work out to be below RM200...

Pls don't get me wrong, I'm not pouring cold water over your kind gesture. In fact I fully appreciate you offer us a chance to grab this set.  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

But that is the scenario we will face, just helping to fine tune your figures. icon_rolleyes.gif

Shipping is a big part of the cost computation, not so much the 10% tax... sad.gif
*
True, I forgot about customs. Well, too bad. I also won't be flying home anytime soon after July, so I can't be Santa Claus again.

Regarding the forex, my wife still has her bank account in Msia, so that's not an issue.

That's great! PayPal's hidden fees are a real pain so that will help a lot. thumbup.gif

I'll be in London/Paris mid-August so hopefully I could walk into a Lego shop and walk out with a few sets for myself... tongue.gif

Will pm you if I decide to take up your offer to bulk buy Exo Suit as insurance policy in case I don't get any during my vacation... Many thanks in advance! notworthy.gif

Btw, any deadline for this offer? icon_rolleyes.gif
*
There won't be a deadline per se. It all depends on availability at S@H. If Lego limits to 1 per person, then I can't help it. Also, if at least 5 boxes can't fit in a standard DHL delivery box, then the postage price would be too high and it's better to go with the other PO mentioned in the thread before. Also, customs fees have to be borne by you, so do make your own risk assessment.

I will be getting at least 1 set for myself, most likely Day 1 purchase. Will be back in KL from 21.7 to 1.8 for holidays and cuti raya. Luggage already bulging with toys.

To avoid derailing the thread, PM me.

Yes, the blocks magazine is en route to me from UK.. hopefully coming before the holiday. Cant wait..

Tragic day again, i think the number '7' IS CURSE!
MH370, MH17... 17/7.. (2+0+1+4) = 7! omg.. not a good year.. lol

Yeah, and it started flight on July 1997, and now exactly 17 years in service. (Source: MAS).

And I'm flying back home tomorrow with a full suitcase of Lego and that route is a usual route. They are now avoiding that airspace after this tragedy. I'm terribly shocked and speechless.

Back from work. Now starting to pack my suitcase. Luckily the wife already packed most of the stuff.

In other news. Pre-orders for Mini Cooper 10242 is starting in Germany. Any Mini lovers here?

I was at Taipei taking part in the Magic GP. In between matches I visited Brickworks. Took a photo of their Millennium Falcon in that small crowded shop.

Prices there were 10-20% more than retail prices in Germany.

Exo suit already out of stock in S@H Germany. Expected shipping date 4 September. Seems like there will be more than one production run.

assuming this is going to be single run, would be a good idea to take up bro kelvinlym offer to buy some sets in germany and ship them back  thumbup.gif

I'm still not sure whether to put in my order now, or wait for September, in case there is a better giveaway than the Mini (mini) Cooper.

If anyone willing to coordinate the logistics and payment upfront of 5 sets, I'll be glad to ship them back (pending availability). Just that customs might make it all not worth it.

Pulled the trigger yesterday and ordered the Exo Suit and the Research Institute.

Needed to add some bricks to qualify for free delivery and free Mini Cooper. Used up my VIP points too.

Thanks. I think it will serve as a nice backdrop for Exo Suit. That's the lazy way... tongue.gif The purist way is to build it out of Lego. icon_rolleyes.gif
Fingers crossed la but with the strong demand overseas we stand a very slim chance of getting our hands on one... unsure.gif

Meanwhile, yesterday opened a set and my first encounter with a defective Lego part:

That looks like a short shot during the injection molding process.

Funny how it could pass QC as the weight will definitely be different.

Regarding the questions asked during replacement parts requests, they will need proof of purchase from you only for parts where they are exclusively printed, or part of a licensed range, like Batman's torso or the Flux Capacitor.

This is to avoid people abusing the system and get parts for cheap to resale. You know how expensive these parts can be.

My experience has been smooth. Asked for the reprint flux capacitor, only needed to quote the number on the back of my instruction booklet. Another incident where my Ecto-1 booklet fell apart, they didn't ask any questions, just asked me to log on with my Lego S@H account and put in the request. I think they can check there that I purchased it from them. They even sent an extra one without my requesting since I bought another set for red5ive-O.

If you are asking for a generic replacement part like a 4x2 red brick, they usually don't care much, unless your request is abnormal.
