Hi guys..this may be the last update because I'll be going for Hari Raya Holiday starting today..I hope the project will be completed after Hari Raya..I'll be returning on 9th Aug.. tongue.gif

This is what came in yesterday..I order 2 units Swiftech 8 Way PWM distributor from GBros..as a replacement what been used in Build 9 of Singularity..all the fan will be hook up to this PCB..

user posted image

Next I continue the loop from the CPU waterblock to the upper radiator and use this Bitspower Flow Sensor (BP-FS-CLBKSL)..don't know where to connect the flow sensor wire.. icon_question.gif

user posted image

After that..I connect the final tube using Bitspower BP-WTP-C68 Silver Shining IG1/4" Multi-Link Adapter..there goes the complete loop..

user posted image

Even though the loop is complete..when looking at the space between the reservoir and motherboard make me worry..how I'm gonna secure all the cable in such limited space.. rclxub.gif

I hope the radiator will be available soon..maybe I'll try using slimmer fan for the front radiator..lets think about it after Raya..must eat lemang first..hahaha drool.gif

HAPPY HOLIDAY GUYS..See you soon.. smile.gif

Hello..hmmm still in raya mode... tongue.gif

here are some updates on this project..

I received a parcel from niclasteoh containing the BlackIce GTS 240 radiator and 2 units of Lamptron Valdal Momentary switches (red dot / ring)..

user posted image

So I disassemble the BlackIce GTX 240 radiator and transfer the reservoir to the new radiator..you can see the different in thickness..

Then, this morning I notice the front panel that I sent for laser cutting has arrived on my desk..I should done it manually like singularity but hehe too lazy.. sweat.gif

user posted image

The color is not darker than I thought it would be..but it is still acceptable.. smile.gif

user posted image

All the parts are here..I guess I'll start the most challenging part of this project..to assemble all the cable and fix the loop together.. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Hi guys..sorry kind of busy for the pass few days.. sad.gif

I would like to post some updates..since the front panel is complete. I proceed to drill 4 x 6mm hole at the edge of the case..

user posted image

user posted image

Test the front panel..it fit but please notice that all the 4 corner of it need to be trim rounded a bit to give way for the case feet and top handle..

user posted image

Next I'm going to sleeve the front panel fans and the vandal switches that I received earlier..Actually I would like to use the same fan as the top panel..but no stock at APES..anyone have extra can PM me.. icon_question.gif

Alternatively I use my extra Corsair SP 120 PWM fans..

user posted image

This is the vandal switches and the cable extender that came with the MAXIMUS IMPACT VI..

user posted image

Haha..here are the final outcome..the work in between no need to mention..like hell.. rclxub.gif

user posted image

Finally I got a suitable place to mount the HDD and SSD..I guess.. wink.gif

Already been a week since last I updated this project..

So here are some of the progress of it.. smile.gif Don't have tool to make holes for the switches..

I drill few small holes to make way for the switches..then I file it until it fit the switches..

I also do some sleeving to the cable for molex connector..first time successfully made the full molex cable sleeving..hahaha

user posted image

The molex is dedicated for the pump and for LED also in the future..

user posted image

will make cable management later..

user posted image

The lower part..below the pump is too crowded and I dont have any idea how to cover this as what I plan to do.. rclxub.gif

user posted image

So time to fill the loop..... rclxm9.gif

Hi guys..

The loop already filled..and the pump running perfectly fine using my 12V DC adapter..but when connect everything..the PC won't turn on... sad.gif sad.gif

So I decided to give it a try using the original cable first..I suspect that my wiring skill haven't improve at all since the last build..damnnn... vmad.gif

user posted image

Using the original cable the system up and running fine..So I tested 1 by 1 my custom cable..

user posted image

These are the culprit..other than these cables all working great..first cable that failed is EPS cable..8 pin and 6 pin PCI-E cables..feel stupid sometime.. sweat.gif

user posted image

Thanks for the help of this PSU tester..save me a burned PSU..

Hello..it has been more than a month since I last update this post..quite busy because I involved in organizing the 14th Asia Pacific Submarine Conference here in Kota Kinabalu..

Ok..here are some updates on this project..some finding and lesson learn also I guess.. blink.gif

First of all..I already try to search online the correct PSU cable pinout for my AX760..but useless when nothing found online..so I decided to compare the pinout with my SilverStone Strider Gold..then I learn that all PSU has a different pin out toward the PSU and the same pin out toward the output (motherboard)..stupidly I has wired all the custom cable I made same as the Strider Gold except for the 24 pin cable..

SATA power cable (right is Strider Gold and left is AX760)..
user posted image user posted image

MOLEX power cable (right is Strider Gold and left is AX760)..
user posted image user posted image

8 pin PCI-e cable (right is Strider Gold and left is AX760)..
user posted image user posted image

See the different..I thought it is a standard layout..but it is different..those pictures show the pinout toward the PSU end..

No wonder my PC won't start..luckily not another burning PSU..so as quick solution I order these from khfoong81..hand it over to the expert,,LOL.. tongue.gif
1 x 24pin PSU cable 15cm sleeveless
1 x 8pin EPS cable 15cm sleeveless
1 x 6pin PCI-e cable 10cm sleeveless
1 x 8pin PCI-e cable 15cm sleeveless
4 x PWM extender 20cm black sleeve

user posted image

So the system is now working after slight changes in my MOLEX and SATA power cable pinout (just copy the same pinout as AX760) biggrin.gif

I also made a top fan replacement..since the NoisBlocker is too hard to get..I replace both top fan to Corsair SP120 PWM..

hi..

continue my update..after all the cables working great..I plan to drain the system to change the coolant..before I used the EK coolant UV green add with mayhems deep red dye..hope to see it red in colour...but....

here is what it like when expose to sunlight...greennnnn...if in dark room it is red..I guess the effect from the UV itself..

user posted image

user posted image

prepare to drain..even though I installed the drain valve in the loop, I haven't drill a hole at the bottom of the casing..so need to attach my extra tube.. tongue.gif

user posted image

As for replacement I use the XSPC Blood Red Coolant..thanks GBros..

user posted image

Fill the loop with more than half of bottle coolant..

user posted image

and now it is red..yes bloody red mate..

user posted image

And finally a few touch on lighting using 2 x SilverStone LED Strip White..

user posted image

Up and running...but not finish yet.. biggrin.gif I think you all knew what still missing..hehehe stay tune.. cool2.gif cool2.gif cool2.gif

Hi guys..it has been nearly 2 weeks since last update..the PC is up and running perfectly..but as I mention previously something still missing and the fan start to collecting dust.. tongue.gif tongue.gif

Yeah..the fan cover is still not yet installed..So I have order 2 x 500mm x 500mm 3mm thickness black transparent acrylic from shepard..I think it will be arriving this evening..

The photo he sent me yesterday..

user posted image

Even though I order only 2 pcs but it is more than enough for the fan cover..the rest will be use as replacement for the side panel thumbup.gif

Stay tuned..

Hi..as what I mentioned in earlier post..the acrylic sheet do arrived yesterday..only then I realized that actually I order for 3pcs of the acrylic sheet..hahaha such a short term memory symptom.. sweat.gif

user posted image

Dust all over top panel..need to be clean up before installing the fan cover..

user posted image

So I start to trace the template for the top fan using a 140mm fan as a guide..

user posted image

I try to cut the acrylic using this..but then.......

user posted image

..I accidentally snap the acrylic in to pieces.. cry.gif

user posted image

user posted image

After I peel off the protective cover of the acrylic, I notice that the color is little bit darker and towards purple..but it still transparent black..I hope it will match the front panel cover..

user posted image

Lesson learned..I will never use that acrylic cutter anymore and will use the jigsaw for the cutting sweat.gif sweat.gif

Hopefully, this evening I'll mange to cut the fan cover for both front and top of the casing..stay tuned.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi..yesterday I cut the fan cover for front n top panel..this time using jigsaw..haha tongue.gif measurement 150mm x 300mm with 6 holes each pieces..

user posted image

I don't what it is called..but I bought it at the electrical shop..this will be the standoff between the fan cover and the panel..will be cut into half..

user posted image

Not equally same height..huh..might need some filing..hmmm maybe will paint it flat black later on..it is made of copper with chrome coating..

user posted image

Here is the almost complete part..I'm using the 6 x 35mm of M4 screws..hopefully it will be able to penetrate through the 10mm thickness front panel..

user posted image

Buy here come the challenging part..huuuuhh how am I going to drill with all the coolant and loop still intact.. shocking.gif rclxub.gif hahaha Challenge of Reverse Engineering..hahaha sweat.gif

Stay tuned..

Hello guys..

Just little update on the fan cover..I already place the masking tape and holes marking onto the top fan panel.. see the red square box..hehe lazy workpiece.. tongue.gif

user posted image

Plus need to place something to act as the debris cover from the drill operation..I have to dismantle the LED strip under the top panel before I start drilling..

user posted image

Anyway the top panel fan cover went well..all the standoffs fit the holes nicely..

user posted image

Then finish with the front panel also..huhh quite a relief its all went very well.. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

user posted image

Previously I decide to paint the standoff with flat black paint..but I this it still nice to have it in silver..haha

This is what its look like once the acrylic cover is removed..

user posted image

Hmmm with the background of sunset at Kota Kinabalu Naval Base.. thumbup.gif

user posted image

I have plan to engrave the Asus ROG logo maybe at front or top fan cover plus both side of the side panel..so stay tune guys... smile.gif
