Hi guys..thanks for supporting and following my previous build The Elite Strike Back which is dedicated to my wife..So many hardship that needs to be overcome to complete that project..hehe Anyway my wife love it and hopefully she won't bother me anymore while I'm gaming..But I need to build another PC to do so.....

Now I would like to present all of you my next project specially meant for me..."THE RETURN OF THE PRODIGY"

Basically what I'm going to do is to duplicate the Singularity Client Build 9 with a bit different hardware..Try reproduce the locally made Singularity..

These are the list of hardware that I'm going to put inside the build:

Don't know where to start..haha

Tracing the radiator size onto a cardboard to marking the screw holes..don't really know why I did that..



Stripping down the case..



Pull out the front panel..I won't need it anymore..so anyone out there looking for prodigy front panel can PM me..

Put all the masking tape on the front panel and top panel of the case..



I trace the line up to the end nearly 10mm from each side of the front panel..and for the top panel is around 15mm from each corner of the panel..all the curve are traced using old 50cent coin..



This is my weapon of war..I think it save more time compare when using dramel..but the vibration is like hell..



Due to the noise produced by the jig saw I only manage to cut the top panel only..haha

The top panel suppose to use 2mm thickness aluminium plate (based on Singularity Build)..but here in Kota Kinabalu, I just don't know where I could get it in just a small amount..all the shop I go offer me like 4 to 8 feet long plate..too big..

So I decided to change it with 3mm thickness of acrylic sheet..



Tested and it fit the upper handle nicely..but the edge of the acrylic need to be sanded and polish a bit..

Hi..

Just a little update..I trace the screw hole and radiator hole from the original top mount of the prodigy..main agak2 jer.. and then cut the acrylic..



The two fan holes traced using 1pc of blank CD..don't know how to do actually..just gamble and cut..

The edge need to be sanded to smoothed the rough edges..



Test fit with the radiator..it fit well..notice that the radiator is mounted toward the edge of the back panel..this is to give way for the front mounted radiator..For the top radiator I use my HardwareLabs Black Ice® GT Xtreme 240 radiator and HardwareLabs Black Ice© GT Stealth 240 will be mounted to the front panel..





Hopefully it will give enough clearance for the front radiator..since in the Singularity's Build, he used both front and top are the same radiator (HardwareLabs Black Ice© GT Stealth 240), I don't really know the measurement..but I guess it will fit..otherwise I need to opt for the slim fan..

This evening I trace both of side panel..



Then at night just finish sanded the edge of the windows..



Maybe tomorrow evening I'll continue with the cutting of front panel..



What to do man..I'm leaving in a quarters so my neighbor can't tolerate the noise..

Hi...just a quick update..just finish cutting the front panel..



Now awaiting the acrylic panel that I bought from shepard...the front panel is cut towards 10mm from every corner and I will drill 4 x 6mm holes for the front panel..



I order 2 sizes of the transparent black acrylic, 10mm thickness and 8mm thickness..only one will be mounted as the front panel..

I also waiting for the GPU to be delivered..hopefully by tomorrow I'll receive it..

Now the biggest challenge so far is to get all the fittings and watercooling part for this build..

I receive this red monster yesterday..after long waiting time finally I manage to get one..thanks naz21st



I also start to cut the side panel..



Both side panel cut and fit to the panel nicely..I'm using 3mm thickness clear acrylic sheet..





In Singularity Build 9, he use the 3mm acrylic sheet to cover the radiator holes both on top and front panel..but I haven't decide yet..for mean the time I use this 120mm fan grill..

Hmmm..I'm still waiting for the front panel to be delivered.. but anyway I think its already on the way..must take a while from Penang to Kota Kinabalu.. Thanks shepard

While waiting for the front panel.. something came in my mind.. why don't I start assemble all the other parts first..

SO..I start assemble the GPU and motherboard waterblock..since both of it already in my possession..already had the waterblock since April..



Fisrt let I'm installing the motherboad waterblock first..



The backplate for it..





Put some thermal paste..but I don't use the one supllied by EK..I'm using my Arctic Silver 5..don't know which one better..but I go for arctic silver 5..



If you all notice that this waterblock will cover the processor and the southbridge chip..so the stock heatshink need to be removed..the one in the picture I don't what it is called..haha I think its power phase..



It is quite tough to install it..maybe because I don't any experience of it before..to cut the thermal pad is too much hassle for me..why don't EK just supply a precut thermal pad..

My original plan was to get the bitspower waterblock..but always no stock..so I go all out for EK..hence all the other watercooling part for this build are from EK..



So this is the finish assembly..The stop fittings just to avoid dust from entering the waterblock..

Just a little continuation for the waterblock assembly..haha just came back from cinema..hell yeah transformers..

Ok..next we go to the installation of the GPU waterblock + backplate..



The waterblock is quite heavy..I think I should opt for the plexi type..but its all about money money money..huhhhh..

Here are what it had inside the package..and once again the thermal paste doesn't come precut..





The backplate on the other hand came with precut thermal pad..



Ready to open the stock cooler..



The bare GPU..need to clean the chip from the old thermal paste..



Sorry didn't take enough pictures..the complete assembly..but it is a lot easier compare to assembling the waterblock for motherboard..

Hello..

Just small update..RAM assembly..The RAM for this build originally planned to use G.Skill Trident X 16GB 2400..but unfortunately the stock always unavailable..So I decide to change it Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB 2400..don't really know about its performance..



The waterblock that I used is EK-RAM Monarch X2 which is originally design for dominator class RAM from corsair..so EK-RAM Monarch RAM Module for universal RAM is needed...





The time taken to dismantle the stock heat spreader from the RAM is quite easy..BUT DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE TO IT..MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR RAM..

Even though the thermal pad doesn't come precut..this time it has marking where to cut each (for this RAM it has 16 chip per module)





Now the installation of the waterblock..





That's all for today..huhu..Waiting for the front panel acrylic sheet..maybe will receive it today..

Hello..small update on this build..

Fasting month already..so sleepy everyday..

This came to me last week..two acrylic sheets from shepard





Two different thickness but same color..transparent black..

10mm thickness



8mm thickness



After some measurement I pick the 10mm sheet and trace the holes for the radiator..so this will be the front panel..

Since it is fasting month I got a bit lazy..so I sent the sheet to shop to cut it using laser..hahaha hassle free but not FOC..

At the meantime..I start with the cabling of the PSU..this is my first time doing it on Corsair PSU..damn the 24pin is a hell to do..

Got double wire some more.. For this build I'll be using the extension cable to connect the motherboard, GPU, EPS and etc..



Sorry image suck due to flash..these cable will be hidden underneath the PSU cover..but still haven't done..So for the build only the extension will be sleeved..



I try to arrange the cables by using the cable ties since I have no skill to sew the cables..

HAHA..no more burning finger during sleeving thanks to this new toy..



Sorry guys that's all for today..hopefully the front panel will finish tomorrow..

I'll continue to sleeve the cable tonight until sahur time..sahur quite early here in Sabah..

Hello guys..

Updates on the cable sleeving..huuhhhh total mess..

Here are the extension for 24 pin..



The EPS cable..



After the trouble sleeving the GPU 6pin and 8pin extension.. got nearly perfect length for the EPS and MOBO cable..

The EPS align perfectly but the 24pin mobo cable need to be redo again..too short..





So here we go..redo the 24pin for corsair ax760..aiyoo the double wire is a pain in the ass..





I try to save as much as possible the pin connector..so I use what remain from my last build..originally this is extension cable I bought from topazzatech..just reuse it..



I tag it so it won't be to confusing when attach it to 24pin connector..but it still confusing sometime..hahaha

I got the layout from OCN forum..
