i had the same grievances as you bro... in the end i went with the Turbo S cause its only about 12k diff (after all the discounts on both models)...

the reason i swayed to the 1.6 is because of the better specs (6 speed gearbox better engine more airbags and so on) not to mention also cheaper road tax and all... i would definitely recommend that you go for the 1.6TS cause though it doesnt have the bodykit n leather seats, its 10K cheaper than the 1.6TE... so a small compromise for big value  thumbup.gif

You may try CrossColors Auto Spa. At Kota Damansara. Behind the Tropicana Medical Center. RM1800. They are very good. Will send to them to do coating soon. But my brother did it there. Very good. The car wash is also very good as well. They are using Diamond Brite brands.

Check out their FB.

The noise when turning steering, i think we can change ATF oil (using ATF oil as 1.6T) to reduce/ eliminate noise..I havent change ATF oil yet, i wait next service...

For (jijiji, cra cra) noise, i think the joint between exhaust pipe and engine block caused..
*
I dont know about the "jijijijiji" or "cra cra cra" sound, but previously my car got "tak tak tak" sound wheb turning the steering. SC said they tighten my steering rack and column and shaft. Now all ok.

here is the method to reset memory in the gearbox..

1. turn the car key to initial (don't start the car)
2. In "P" mode, press the "S" button. you active the sport mode and you will see "S" symbol on the odometer.
3. Now press 4 times gas pedal (fully).
4. After that deactivate sport mode.
5. Start the car.
6. Finish

I will test it first, will update here later on
*
Really??? I thought it was:

1) Make sure car completely shut down (fan stops and the odometer is off as well)
2) Floor the accelarator all the way until u hear a "click" sound and hold it there for 15secs
3) Done.

So which is which??? *confused*

You want your Lion to bite a bit more la.....hehehe biggrin.gif enjoy biggrin.gif !

How about remap the ECU, 200hp/275nm.  You'll be Lion King among us. Only problem is void warranty!
*
Let me add on to this poison...Hehehehe...Its been long overdue...

I have installed Rachip Pro2. Its a plug and play tuning box. And there is obvious improvement. There is power gain after instalation. The "push back to the seat" feel is more obvious now than stock. After 2300-2500rpm, you can really feel the car pick up speed faster. And response is better as well. FC has also improve IF you drive normally. This device increase your boost by 0.2bar, so now everytime when u rev and let go the pedal, u can here the blowoff sound. Good product i would say. Worth it. I am now doing about 0-100kmh in 8secs. But with that said, a remap ECU is still better than a tuning box as you can alter more things. And more expensive too, i think. I have yet to dyno it, but will share once i do it.

Secondly, i have change my springs to H&R Sports Spring. The ride is abit stiffer. And it is lower. The wheel arch is not that huge anymore. Handling now is better than the already pretty good stock springs. Would recomend it to ppl who wants a lower stance in their ride.

All in all, i am very satisfied with this car. The potential it has is high. And im impressed of what it can do.

Cheeeersssss....

Hehehe..........you real kachau kaki la. This poison I also interested. Is it easy to unplug when send for service?

I think may be still possible to retrieve info from ECU which will indicate performance enhancement or performance device use. Wouldn't want to loose warranty. Any idea on this aspect. Looking forward to your dyno test report.

I'll pass on the H & R sports springs. I'm sure they improve handling. The stiffer ride will be at the expense of comfort. I actually don't mind trading in for a bit more comfort!
*
It is easy the unplug the chip. But the harness will still remain. But the shop can help install the harness in a way that it runs together with other stock harness. So it doesnt look obvious. According to Racechip, doesnt void warranty. ECU cant detect. The whole instalation will take only 15-20mins.

Now im planning on my next mod. Maybe turbo downpipe.... cool2.gif

If you have noticed, I had lots of issues with my 408 Turbo from the past.
1. Fuel Pump
2. Fuel Tank
3. Fuel Tank seal
4. Turbo
5. High pressure pump
6. Drive shaft
7. Engine/turbo rattling

8. Last but not least. Losing power suddenly and breaking down.

I can pretty much confirm that i've gotten a lemon unit. I will NOT recommend peugeot to any of my friends and family.

Those with no problems with their car. You should be really grateful. I have been attended to by ALL the service advisors possible in Glenmarie Service Centre.

Thank you

Hi Guys,

Was going through other forums, and stumble upon this statement made by a fellow forum-er.

"The Prince THP engine is notorious of problems. From the carbon buildup due to its less than stellar direct injection, to turbo failures, to depollution error, whatever the f that means."

Can anyone verify on this matter? And elaborate more on the issue highlighted?? I mean, i've heard good things about the new THP163. All the issues from the 308T was rectify and modified on the 408T's engine.

Is he referring to the THP156 engine used in 308T??? Or maybe he still think Pug engine/electronics are still like previous models??? Hmmmmmmmm hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif
