no. Im at gua musang. Its a small town... got few spare parts shops that accepts amex. but nothing on consumer level.

Checked with the KLCC card center, they said if upgrade to plat, they'll charge RM100... but I feel that they are not so sure about it.

Upgrade will get a new CC account no, so my guess is, will be considered as new application.

actually you can, just submit CL increase request with supporting document.

I asked them, they said will upgrade your card to increase the credit limit!

Make a remark in the CL upgrade form that you do not want to be upgraded to platinum.

that must be another blur cs. some gold cc can get cl of 20k but some platinum cc only 15k cl.

How much are you trying to increase your limit to? I had a gold card with 75k limit years ago.
I think some reps are just trying to make more commission.

I think each classes have their own credit ceiling limit e.g. CIMB gold ceiling was 20k back then.

I remember my Gold CC from CIMB slightly more than the amount you mention.

Even now using Platinum but never use. Never bother ask them to increase anymore

Dont have any specific amount in mind... maybe 2x++ the current amount.

Try apply for CL increase. I'm sure the ceiling limit can surpass some Infinite CL.
