i own a white k618i..i bought it for RM800 + trade in my 3 years old nokia 3660 here in ipoh..loving it right now..using walkman theme and the phone really look like walkman phone..

well..the black one cost about rm10xx here in ipoh..dunno bout the white actual price..i just ask how much i have to topup if trade in n3660 for white, and the seller said 800..and AP set for white is hard to find in ipoh i guess

btw..i've downloaded the setting for wap for maxis from SE website..first time works, n then keep getting "please check your setting" someting like that..is it the phone setting or maxis?

What is the SAR value for the K618i?

My gf's K618i has this odd problem, it auto shuts off every few hours. The problem started when she left her phone on the whole night until the battery is totally dead, when it was fully charged, the phone started to have this problem, have tried taking out the battery, master reset it, updated to the latest firmware but the problem doesn't go away. Any idea what to do next? I'm having an AP set and the service centre is in Cheras if I'm not mistaken.

since u have tried almost everything to restore but problem persist, a visit to service center would be the best..

or wait for few days see if any improvement, for the battery to get back to its optimum performance. that is why it is not very recommended to fully discharge a li-po battery. switch the phone off at abt 5% rather than let the phone switch off itself if possible (next time).

My gf always leave the phone on for 24 hours, that's the problem. I'll never do that to my phone. Arrghhh ......... I hate to take it to the service centre, a lot of hassles, I really hope that the problem will go away and worst of all, my gf has a habit of charging the phone while it is on, I've told her a hundred times not to do that. Sigh.......

When you on your phone too long, the cache will accumulate and auto restart the phone to clear the cache back on. Tell her, charging her phone while the phone is ON and if she answers any calls, the risks are phone might blow up or her face become scarface. joking!

That's a bad habit, who will receive calls when we're sleeping, right? The phone won't explode but the battery life will be shortened but my main concern is why her K618i keeps switching off by itself. It reminded me of my earlier Nokias that I owned last time.

Have already searched SE websites but somehow this model is not listed. One of the European hp website listed it as 1.01 - just wanted to confirm that. Anyway, thanks.

As long as your sim is 3G enabled. Then just set the phone to receive GSM and 3G signals. Then you can start using 3G services.

*Edited: make sure u set the settings of the phone according to the GSM company.

The radiation is a tad high, I was expecting around 0.8 and below. Honestly, if you can remember, Ericsson handphones were famous for having high radiation levels last time. That could be the reason.

Prangin mall, i noticed he gave me Sandisk memory 256mb, not Sony meh?

It's not a big issue as my P990i AP set comes with Sandisk too. My K618i came with Sony M2 but it was bought last year at RM969, a lot more expensive than your set but no choice, my gf's birthday was last November, if I could drag it until now, I would have saved a lot of $$$.

Hei people, how do I update K618i to the latest firmware? It says that I already have the latest software which is R1ED001, I notice that my phone sometimes displays some F4..for no reason
