There's Xw30 and xw40 mentioned but It does not mention xw20. Thats my point. I travel alot, from kl to terrengganu, meter temp always show 40 range. Sometime certain hot zone register temp as high as 47C. Well i'm not sure how accurate is the protong meter but i choose to believe it.

I dont care about honda as its not using the same 4b engine. So stop saying hinda use xw20. Design of both engine totally different. How to compare? Might as well compare with felali cos its using ultra helix as factory fill. tongue.gif
*
I didnt say about using xw20 for Inspira....Honda is a much bigger global company and they can afford to r&d newer engine oil to test with their cars....
Meanwhule, proton needs to borrow money from gov to develop new car...they aint gonna be wasting money to test new oils on existing cars, or even new cars....whatever previously work for their engines, just keep it status quo. Furthermore, Campro also ancient Engine....Lala lagi no fcuk since it will EOL soon.

Because Fake Lancer got CampurMIVEC. Fake Inspira only got MIVEC.

CampurMIVEC > MIVEC!!! notworthy.gif

no la it's your choice la, if you're comfortable for xw40, by all means go ahead la.
cheaper also.

in fact, i know i wasted on additives (lol that note on the manual really hits home) , and wasted on good EO like amsoil signature series because proton OCI too short lol.

the calcium (detergent/dispersant) and TBN is even higher than brand new/fresh engine oil after 8500km of hard usage and even comparable to brand new HDEO/Diesel engine oils doh.gif doh.gif

XW40 cheaper than XW30?? Sure boh?? hmm.gif

they don't need so much additives such as VI to maintain oil viscosity stability wut.

you go supermarket like tesco, those full synthetic cheap oil on promotion, tell me what is their viscosity.
you'll find a common pattern of almost everything being xw40

shell also don't have other viscosity for their pureplus in Malaysia, ONLY xw40.
AFAIK USDM/euro shell got xw30 though

Lala temp sensor abit inaccurate and tend to be on the higher side compared to other cars.

Trust me, if it really hits >40c air temp, you'll be seeing a whole bunch of other issues, for eg. Tire air deflation...

RM45 consider ok in Malaysia, no many people will buy xw20.
If selling Pennzoil 10w-30 UP 5 quart @ RM150 don't know anyone will buy hmm.gif

yes got mention. (top corner, what EO i used)

no, from service manual (or potong manual) mentioned 4.3l, however that's assuming they let the engine drip kaw kaw from the oil pan.

4L is typically more than enough.
so 946x4, and maybe 1 more if you think you may need to top up (which i think no need)
i red line the bugger so hard, until the day before i go service, not oil loss or whatsoever.

the UOA report also showed viscosity consistency as if the oil is still new.
