QUOTE(Jason @ Jun 12 2014, 04:44 PM) But this hill is much steeper than Genting . I tot Proton would answer like this " We will change your engine to a turbocharged CFE unit with 205NM of torque to enable you to climb the hill easier " This year Chinese New Year I drove my Inspira MT there too. Before I went there, I tightened my handbrake to 1 click to full stop at 10% gradient hill. I went Thean Hou Temple, traffic was very jammed already, I saw an old KE70 Corolla roll back like shit. The driver tried so many times to move forward but not successful.. Damn scary...Lucky I not behind him. After I got stucked at the hill , I pull handbrake. 1 click. I release brake pedal slowly, still roll back man...Pull harder, 1 more click, still roll. 3rd click only stopped completely. That place, got some soh xxi young drivers still follow close anyhow despite how steep the hill is. |

QUOTE(mytmnet @ Jun 12 2014, 05:54 PM) Do you know how to check brake pad is time to change or not Disc brakes usually include a part called a wear indicator. A wear indicator is a small piece of metal attached to the brake pad that contacts the brake rotor when the pad material has been worn down to a certain level. When the wear indicator grinds against the rotor, it makes a squealing noise as you apply the brakes. This noise is a signal which tells you it's time to have your brakes examined. Don't know is I drive too fast or it really need to change, I just drive 38K KM until now... |

QUOTE(mytmnet @ Jun 12 2014, 10:56 PM) My case is got a smells of .... er... abnormal one but gone after 4 sec for my sentra case (also japanese brake pads i reckon), as it's current pad material is almost worn down to minimum limit (haven't trigger the wear indicator yet) , it does fade very easily and have smoke/bad braking smell if i took the car for spirited driving Just inspect visually but found nothings few times i arrived on site the guard told me "eh bang, ada asap la kat tayar sana" |

If you're free, remove brake pad and inspect it too |
