for my sentra case (also japanese brake pads i reckon), as it's current pad material is almost worn down to minimum limit (haven't trigger the wear indicator yet) , it does fade very easily and have smoke/bad braking smell if i took the car for spirited driving whistling.gif

few times i arrived on site the guard told me "eh bang, ada asap la kat tayar sana"

Thanks bro, when I brake hard, there is a squealing noise rclxub.gif
My case is got a smells of .... er... abnormal one but gone after 4 sec
Just inspect visually but found nothings sad.gif
*
If brake pad too thin, wear indicator will contact with rotor and it will make noise everytime you brake.
If noise only heard when you brake hard, that could be something else... check your rotor surface first. If you're free, remove brake pad and inspect it too laugh.gif

Thanks for the pic biggrin.gif
Hmm the model different lol,  but would anyone be able to cross reference lol

Cannot find this part number from Akebono website. They listed ACT866 for Lancer. The picture from Akebono website looks a bit different compared to our stock pad. Our stock pad is double slotted while ACT866 is single slotted.

Just completed installing auto-dimming rear view mirror on my lala.

Here's the auto-dimming mirror I bought:
Attached Image
This mirror has 2 sensor, first sensor is facing the road to sensor day/night time. Second sensor is facing the rear to sensor strong light from rear.

I noticed that my original rear view mirror is using camlock mount:
Attached Image
If I'm not mistaken, original Lancer windscreen is using wedge mount. Proton windscreen use camlock mount... those with original Lancer windscreen can help me to confirm. smile.gif

However, due to being cheapskate, I sourced for cheapest option so I bought a wedge mount mirror and a converter adapter:
Attached Image

Being cheapskate has a price to pay sad.gif
Unfortunately the converter adapter does not fit just like that. I have to saw off the corner of it due to the RLS sensor blocking the way and also have to trim the inside in order to mount it - you got to have proper tools to do it because the whole adapter is made of solid steel. flex.gif
Here is what it looks like after fitting the adapter:
Attached Image

Now the wiring part. The auto-dimming mirror that I got is the most basic version, means it doesn't come with other fancy features like compass, temperature, map light, homelink, etc...
So only need to connect 2 wires, one for +12V and another for ground. For the +12V, I'm tapping the power from accessory socket, as shown by the "red circle" in the picture below. For ground, I simply connect to the closest metal body I can find, "white circle" in the picture below:
Attached Image

Finally here is the result:
Attached Image
The mirror hasn't dim yet... once dim the color will change to dark green.

Guys , i'm buying the 2013 batch , when I received my car , I need to go for 1st service right ? since its more than 6 months (lets say last batch of 2013 Dec) , or can wait for until 1000 km ? thx
*
Need to clock 1000km first then only go for 1st service.
If you're getting a new car, the odometer shouldn't register >100km of mileage. I got mine in 2013 but it's a 2012 car, the odometer only showing <20km if I remember correctly.
