My Note 2 LTE is dying.

It will go into sleep of death whenever I lock the phone. Have to pull battery to turn it on.

The symptoms are like when you undervolt it too much and it crashes.

I have a sane chip unit btw

Should I replace my motherboard? It will cost me SGD130

any tutorial vids on how to do it? my bezel all calar sini peeloff sana, getting irritated just looking at it.

if only LG sell the G3 in malaysia then i would have jump a long time ago

honestly, with Note 3... i didn't think it was impressive enough for me to jump ship. so i stayed with my trusty note 2.

with this coming Note 4... i think its still the same. nothing impressive that will make me really crazy about it. and worse... i fear its going to have even more bloatware... KNOX, Hubs, health apps (that i don't need), UV sensor (which I don't want)... the only thing is... the PEN... which i already have on my Note 2.

Samsung seems to be forgetting the fact that the s-pen makes the Note truly unique. however, they don't seem to be capitalizing on this fact. hardly anything refreshing on the pen.

and i just wish... Samsung would spend their marketing money porting over this game called OKAMI. seriously... its really good and can do with the pen. OKAMI on the Wii was a superb experience which i feel can be replicated on our Note.

ya, if anything, i guess i miss the LTE function. but not that it matters a lot to me.

that's why i don't really think note 4 will bring any nice surprise for me. what i've read so far, its more sensor spams. nothing really new in terms of software/ applications for the s-pen, which i think is such a waste.

May I know what is the easiest and most safety to root Note II? Can give me some instruction? thanks!

can I ask why is my sis note 2 battery draining so fast. problems started last week then suddenly phone couldn't boot past Samsung logo. she did factory reset but still didn't work. then I check thru recovery her efs mounting error - invalid argument. brought to ssc and they need to change mobo at abt 800+. crazy. that's when the journey began.
after googling thru hundreds of pages xda, android pit/geek  central or whatever, finally managed to solved invalid argument via adb that reset to factory mode. solved that too. then imei 0049 problem. searched and tried many methods but still unable to solve. time is of essence to her as she couldn't live w/o smartphone. so I just send to ssc again eventho with custom rom they didn't mind as I"m not claiming warranty. but stll they said couldn't fix bccos mobo. bs. send to a place at giant tmn Connaught problem solved altho took longer than usual cos he and she said mine is kinda weird case.
conclusion - ssc said mobo problem and no way to fix unless change mobo. they even said no way to pass thru Samsung boot logo. bs. they have the tools and manpower and yet """""""""
I haven't flash anything after days of htc and tablets about 3 yrs ago. yet I still managed from scratch to solve except that imei part which I believe if given time I may be able to. most probably I did some wrong steps along the way.
a few calls and mentioned problem with imei 0049 but when they said need to look into issue - that to me meant they didn't understand or know how to fix. the place that fixed mine understood thru phone and explained to me why that happened. see the difference.
now anyone has any help on battery drain? currently running 4.4.2.

i'm sorry joytest, i have just recently migrated to mac. so is there the toolkit that I can use on my mac to do an efs backup? or cwm to do my rooting?

Recently factory reset mine and update the lattest Stock ROM.

But I found that my Facbook and Google Chrome will suddenly quite.

Is it my problem or I missed something?

Haha. I going 2 keep my note 2 till end of Chinese new year next year and then boom jump over the new note 4. That is 2 years anniversary I using the phone.
