QUOTE(tech noob @ Jan 11 2016, 12:28 AM) [attachmentid=5754079] Hi all the Sifu, is the reading for RX Optical power too high? coz I'm quite worry about it, when the Time installer came they just use back the fiber cable with blue connector that left by my previous Unifi installation. Please kindly correct if I'm wrong, I understand that unifi connector is SC/UPC and connector accepted by huawei HG8240H should be SC/APC. what should I do right now? Please kindly advise, thanks How to access this page? whats the Page address and passwords? Never check before lol

QUOTE(Hummingbird @ Jan 14 2016, 03:33 PM) Time Dotcom doesn't seem to be expanding its fibre footprint to any other area... What is happening to Time Dotcom? Contented with the performance in urban area? LOL. I think GOV or TM dun allow them to expand , less competition more profit

QUOTE(bizklguy @ Feb 9 2016, 11:20 PM) I hv installed Time Broadband less than one week ago, but the experience I am undergoing is appalling: 1. Very often the WIFI router (ZTE) is not able to be connected from devices. This can be resolved by resetting the ZTE device. 2. On Feb9, the entire Internet connection is down and the call centre told me this was due to some "fibre optic card failure" in my area. Has anyone out there experiences similar encounter? Is those "fibre optic failure" a common incident? Tx. 1. ZTE router is useless , replaced mine in few weeks because of wifi issues 1 to 1 by time. Got myself a better router tho loads better. 2. No such issues before in my 5th month now. Speeds during CNY are kinda slow compared to normal days , as expected actually. Before this TM would totally be down for days during holidays hahaha

QUOTE(TXSim @ Feb 13 2016, 02:09 PM) Hi, over Wi-Fi can reach 100Mbps? Yeah, can reach 100++ no problems. Speed test in Sig is using WiFi, but this result never got 100 but still close. QUOTE(Braxton @ Feb 13 2016, 11:55 AM) i also have it.. first 6 months good condition after that heavy usage with 50mb boost i will restart every 10min Mine is around 3-4 months old... Will continue monitor, so far so good leh . I used to get Med-High end ones from Dlink/ linksys and even cisco. But lasted MAX 1 or 2 years always after warranty over. If my Xiaomi lasts for 6 months like yours replacing them twice a year would still be cheaper than my previous ones ahahha

QUOTE(biatch0 @ Feb 20 2016, 07:50 AM) I keep forgetting to post this... so this time I was browsing LYN and remembered. This is specifically for TdC (TIMEdotCom) users who torrent (it's not bad news I swear). Assume you are downloading... Ubuntu via torrent for example... and you are on the 10Mbps package. If you don't limit your download/upload speed, you should be getting close to 10Mbps in both directions... BUT If there is a peer who is also a TdC user, there's actually no limit (or a much higher limit) on speed within the TdC network. I noticed a couple of times that my torrent was going at close to 100Mbps (10-11MB/sec)... and both times, the peer that was downloading/uploading at that speed was a TdC peer. I'm guessing that 100Mbps is the limit anyway... it may have just been my HDD was overworked at the time and there is no limit. So, for the good of all TdC users... if you do torrent, I recommend leaving your upload/download speed unlimited (when possible). All other TdC users will thank you Not only torrents. My 10mbps plan also gets more than i paid for normally. Sometimes 15-20 mbps, sometimes more tha 50mbps Just did a speed test and tada!( No boost)

No lol , contract is just to encourage you not to cancel your subscription within 1 or 2 years , depending on your contract period
