I killed Malthael for the first time on Torment 1, with my Lvl 60 Crusader.
Even my barb, DH and wizard couldn't do it.

Akarat's Champion, Phalanx (bow), Heaven's fury and Law of Valor.

Play with 3 crusader with the same gears (Fotf & Eberli Charo)...
OMG...12 beams....nothing can stop us...

i switch to my leapquake barb. doing t6 rift and can feel very slow to fin the rift...compared to my non-darklight fire sader, i can clear the rift quite quick.

pity my barb. hope blizz will give em some love.

Do include the blessed shield build.

will do but i'm not sure that it's viable for t6. i may label it for t5 and below though hm...... what do the rest of you think on this ?

Added blessed shield build but i'm not too convinced it's the best one, because they don't use horse which could be problematic for fast T5 and T6 runs in a group.

That ascendency without a FOTF looks to me to be useless. I reckon it would be better dumping that for horse instead.



I know there are distinctively slightly different builds around the main ones e.g..... shotgun, firestarter and blessed shield ..... so the ones i link some of you may disagree on some of the skills/enchants/gear recommendations for the build.

So if you feel a skill or gear recommendation can be changed to be even better, then post here and we will see whether we can update the front page if it gains enough approval

went through the captain 'Murica build guide, but this guy still stick to shatter throw, which was fixed after 2.0.5, I think Combust build (fire captain) is better, which I currently do (Can solo t4 in multiplayer with ease)

yeah i think combust is probably better. Got any good youtube for this

it kinda seemed odd for me he recommend firestarter but he uses holy for the blessed shield. Well i guess it's because holy cause is dependent on holy skill for it to proc, that could be why And seeing as this build doesn't expend wrath resource, you'll probably going to be heavily reliant on holy cause.

So on one hand combust has better dmg throughput, and on the other shattered shield has holy which makes the holy cause heal proc.

newbie crusader reporting in

still fine tuning my akhan set.

Last night, rift gave me gauntlets...and today Kadala gave me the last piece of Akkhan Set - Breastplate

Since it is fire build, still prefer Magefist and Cindercoat...

Using only 4 pieces of it...

Kinda sad that gry+jek is not T4-6 viable... Currently lvling another crus to make shotgun build... Current crus seems tough to get fotf and Akkhan pieces.. only have gauntlet n pants atm... Hopefully the new crus will raise the odds ...

No need high Torment, get my Jekang and Gry at T3...

In about a week playing, Bliz already giving me 4 Gry...2 give away to party team...

The only gear havent't get is Darklights...still searching..

not viable meh? i still using this build all the way to T5, samo my item zap pa lang mixture. not using any akkhan piece and no holy SOJ. paper dps 1.1mil

viable- means kill at a reasonable speed. The problem with Blessed Shield build is..when 1v1 its really slow

T5 only BS is very slow. Unless you build hybrid..BS with Condem

BS build so far is for mid torment level (of course it's I myself haven't found a way to do it in T5-T6)

But in the context of T4, my BS crusader (fire build) can solo can boss in the game, included malthael) easily.

ya its true BS build can only go up T3, T4 is only efficient if u can increase your dmg.

and I use BS + Bowmen (Aughild + Blackset)
