I'm sending this message thru my mi3, so far I'm very very pleased with the phone. I don't play games on mobile so I guess I have nothing to complain BUT there's one little thing that's bugging me, I've set my language to be English (US) but when I pull the top tray down, the 'setting' is written as 设置, although I read Chinese, it's still very annoying that everything else is in English only this is in Chinese. Is this normal? How do I change it?

Try different theme..Maybe the theme you are using is set in Chinese..

Could be theme issue. Some themes designed with Chinese language hardcoded in picture, change to another theme n see how?

Guys, when you change theme, calendar app no longer show the correct date is it? Only default are working fine from the looks of it.

depends on the theme. Some themes supported live icons, some don't.

Picked up the phone at 1pm then proceeded to install the screen protector. After i a while i installed google experience launcher because i am not that familiar with miui. But what can i say. The phone oozes quality and it is on par with my wifeys xperia z. Software is stable and it is a joy to use. Cant wait to test xcom enemy unkown on this phone hehe.

first impressions from me so far:

1. screen is beautiful. the 5 inch IPS display works really well.
2. MIUI hits the sweetspot between android and iOS. this will make it much easier for previous iOS users to accept anrdroid!
3. camera quality is lacking. indoor shots are noisy. video capture has no stabilization resulting in shaky videos.
4. phone usage is smooth and snappy, however certain parts have lags such as scrolling through contact list fast.
5. the power button is positioned perfectly at the side for thumb pressing.

Hi guys, need help here, got my mi3 but it won't detect my sim card, stating no sim card detected. I tried slotting in another different sim card and everything's fine(call and data), just my sim card not detected (Tried on other phone, my sim card detected with no issues).

Just wonder if anyone encountered this issue? Will change a new sim card to fix this.
