first impressions from me so far:
1. screen is beautiful. the 5 inch IPS display works really well. 2. MIUI hits the sweetspot between android and iOS. this will make it much easier for previous iOS users to accept anrdroid! 3. camera quality is lacking. indoor shots are noisy. video capture has no stabilization resulting in shaky videos. 4. phone usage is smooth and snappy, however certain parts have lags such as scrolling through contact list fast. 5. the power button is positioned perfectly at the side for thumb pressing.

although the phone has a 3000mh battery, it feels just like any other 2000mh with the battery drain from miui. observation done based on running High Performance mode today.. i will run on balance tomorrow and see if there is significant difference

QUOTE(baowen @ Jun 4 2014, 01:33 AM) Definitely it will. Battery life settings Conserve > Normal > Performance (24hour +-) (18hour +-) (10hour +-) Performance wise not much different on all three unless you are playing big game or heavily browsing (5 tab above) Bottom line: different ppl, different way of using it. i do notice difference between the 3 mode. with performance, it is really smooth and fast scrolling. there is a bit of lag when quickly scrolling through long whatsapp convo, contacts and webpages if not on performance which i cannot tahan! haha

half day through running on balance power mode. battery life is ALOT better than yesterday which i was on performance.
also, i found a tonne of amazing features under the Security app. you can even schedule timing for different battery modes, create custom setup etc.
