I would recommend you to stay in Glow Pratunam... walk across to Paltinum and all major shopping mall around...

I have been staying there for the past 3 time when visit BKK...

nah, havent book anything yet. not even the flight. planning to have a stay at khao san road, heard its nice. and do some sightseeing. you got any other recommendations?
*
Khao San road is more on backpackers, it's just a street with some chill out bars...a bit of shopping (those heineken singlets etc)...but it's nice if you wanna chill out there...

Hi all,
I'm planning my second trip to BKK early next year. I've visited quite a few places on my first trip there so I need some suggestion on what to do/visit on my second trip. Would appreciate any suggestions from sifus here.

Below is the list of places I visited on my first trip:

- chatuchak market
- asiatique
- kanchanaburi (tiger temple/death railway/elephant ride)
- terminal 21
- soi cowboy
- damnoen saduak floating market
- siam paragon
- platinum mall

Btw, I'll be staying at I Residence Hotel at Silom (opposite Chong Nonsi BTS).
*
You have basically covered all the important tourist areas. So on your this second trip, it really depends on what you enjoyed doing or the purpose of your trip. Some new stuff that you can try:

JJ Green (near chatuchak market but more for young hipsters, good food too) - Shopping
Talad Rot Fai - Shopping
China town - Food
Indian town - Food/Textile shopping (just next area to China town)
Soi Nana - Nightlife (similar to Soi Cowboy)
Khao San road - Nightlife
Clubs near Thonglor (Funky Villa, Demo, Nunglen etc) - Nightlife
Temples (Wat Arun, Wat Pho, grand palace etc) - Sightsee
Hua Hin/Pattaya beach - Sightsee/Nightlife

if want more suggestion can ask here.

RM350 for me is acceptable. With luggage would be a plus. AA now I don't think can get below RM350 with luggage already.

Flew BKK on 2/11 to 6/11 RM180 pp without luggage. Bought in Sep'14.

Yes, KhaoSan Road is just for night life, not much interesting in day time.

Stayed in S Ratchada Leisure Hotel, a bit far from CBD but is really nice hotel and new too.

Stayed there last year, good location and just walking distance to Siam Paragon/MBK. There is Mr Bean's Cafe at opposite building.
