Bought AA ticket to Bangkok last night include luggage on the way bag total RM390 return for early November.

Then today my friend bought MAS return RM350. Last night MAS was RM500+ return on the same dates. Ughhh..

Too many good hotels around Bangkok. I myself haven't decided on which hotel to stay at yet.

Pricing quite inconsistent. Few days ago while I had no access to computer, I was checking on mobile and it was around RM370. Then when I got back from my trip, the price went up so I bought AA and now promo RM350.

Sacha uno hotel behind terminal 21. Pretty good hotel. Definitely will come back stay here more often.

Just got back on Sunday midnight. Rain a little in the evenings. But other than that, sun was up and shining. Bring an umbrella just in case.

I arrived bkk and left bkk alone. Took public transport, bus and BRT/MRT. Should be fine. Just beware of her surroundings and don't simply talk to strangers.

Over the weekend, not everyday rain but 2 out of 4 days rained in the evening. Weather forecast said everyday rain though.

Her first time to Bangkok? I go Bangkok usually shopping only. Cheap shopping can go platinum mall and chatuchak market on weekends. The river boat stalls then I dunno.

Very adventurous of her. Ask her do more research and read about Bangkok before going there on her own.

I went there to meet my friends. I go for shopping only. So the only Thai people I speak to are the hotel receptionist and the shopkeepers in Platinum mall and Chatuchak market. And some street guys food which you basically point to what you want and pay.

Learn some basics of Thai, numbers, directions, food, toilet, etc. Bangkok is quite international with lots of foreigners working there. You shouldn't have a problem with language. Those China tourist lagi dunno how to speak and a lot of shopkeepers can speak mandarin too now.

I stayed at Sacha Uno Hotel recently, just behind Terminal21. Few minutes walk away from BTS Asoke station. Cost us RM160 per room per night. Very comfortable and staffs were very friendly.

Didn't go for their breakfast since there were lots of street food outside. There's a small 7eleven directly opposite the hotel, a family mart and another 7eleven on the way from hotel to Terminal21 (BTS Asoke). Lots of food during the day time outside those convenience store. Massage centers just next to the hotel. Hotel restaurant looks nice and comfy, I've seen a matsalleh chill the whole day there with his laptop lol. Didn't try the food though.

Cleanliness of the hotel, I must say, above my expectations. Comes with room slippers and bath robe. Comfy bed. Toilet bright and clean, see thru shower area but with blinds. Free wifi in the room. Their shampoo, bath gel and body lotion wasn't good but it doesn't really matter since Boots is everywhere.

Got blinds la. But if someone really wants to peek then can still see.

It's just few minutes walk from Terminal 21 (one of the big shopping mall). Terminal 21 is also linked to BTS Asoke station and MRT Sukhumvit station which is convenient because you can take either BTS or MRT from there.

Terminal 21 is no wholesale market, more like a higher end shopping mall. The food court is quite cheap though.

RM350 for me is acceptable. With luggage would be a plus. AA now I don't think can get below RM350 with luggage already.
