for safety purpose, i now use KWIK card for online transactions. it's a 'card' from CIMB (you can actually opt not to get physical card).

CIMB explained that mastercard charges up to 1% for foreign based transactions. in my case, i was charged something like 0.8% (or was it 0.08%). seems the mi server is based on SG, so, considered foreign.

and if use credit card to pay, PayPal will charge you usd1 for transaction fee (no need to create PayPal account). but i'm not sure if you if will still get charged usd1 if you login to paypal and pay with the credit card you attached to PayPal (note this is different -- this one means you login to PayPal).

initial plan to get two PB, end up my friends nearby my sitting place also want Mi3 and powerbank..so total of 2xMi3 and 4xPB ordered and paid. Now office got a lot of Mi3 users

im using maybank card...bought 4 sets of mi3 and i dont see any hidden or surcharge.
the usd1 notification is in fact nothing, i receive the same thing but bill statement shows none.

I used my Paypal account and no extra chargers. This I can confirm.

my 2 pbs orders on the 21st still have not arrived yet. From expected delivery date of 27, now no more expected delivery date.

what do you guys think about the poweron/off button? i feel like its very crispy, too crispy in fact. That it might stop working if pressed too much. Any other way to power on? Shortcut ke?

it depends. CIMB said this is the surcharge by Mastercard. it could be just something attached to KWIK card.

They announced the 6k second round not long after the first one ended. The "unpaid" units are sent back into the system and people who are camping the website and pressing F5 at the right time are able to purchase them once the orders are cancelled or expired. This is why some people were able to get units long after the promo ended or within 24 hours of the previous sale. Xiaomi is well known for attempting to keep costs low which is why they produce units on demand and don't stock inventory like the bigger companies such as Apple or Samsung. This is why we can get a top-tier phone like the Mi3 which is pretty much equivalent to the S4 for less than half the price.

I think it is only applicable if the stock is still available. Else, even it is in your cart, you will never get it into the order.

should be have 0.8% surcharge from paypal. i bought last week with both visa and master card. Paypal won't show the extra they charge u.

Nope. No extra charges or fee. The transaction is done in MYR and I do have balance in my PP account (MYR as well) so I got to use my PP myr money to subtract off my total. I bought twice, last week and today, no extra charge only the total I pay.

Nope, i havent tried. iMalas but i called up to Xiaomi SC. they told me a few buy having the same problem.
