any review on the powerbank?
*
got my PB from the first sales today...

seems a bit tight trying to connect the cable to PB and also phone.

my other stuffs... even new also... dun recall so difficult to plug in the cables. at one stage, i was worried i might break it.

otherwise, it seems good.

packaging is simple. the way i like it.

if anyone us curious (since i could not find the details on their site), the output is 2A.

It's confirmed. Paypal problem, not bank. If anyone is experiencing the same problem as me, then pay use cc not Paypal account.
*
if use PayPal, means must have $$$ in PayPal, right? sorry if this sounds silly. what i mean... coz i have added CC to PayPal... will it charge my card that is attached to PP? if this way works, will there also be a usd1 charge?

today, i used the same as the first time, which is direct CC. so end up i get charged usd1.

curious... may i know what is in the mi3 box? does it come with charger.

surprisingly, i'm short on chargers. the few i have... slowly breaking down on me. was hoping to buy from Mi but they don't list chargers as being for sale.

so i wonder if it ships with one.

no idea.. last week transaction have update in CC statement. No idea whether is refundable or what. Because i heard some ppl say some bank will have surcharge and my bank card is 1 of them .sad.gif
*
i had this surcharge and called my bank to ask why...

background:
for safety purpose, i now use KWIK card for online transactions. it's a 'card' from CIMB (you can actually opt not to get physical card).

CIMB explained that mastercard charges up to 1% for foreign based transactions. in my case, i was charged something like 0.8% (or was it 0.08%). seems the mi server is based on SG, so, considered foreign.

and if use credit card to pay, PayPal will charge you usd1 for transaction fee (no need to create PayPal account). but i'm not sure if you if will still get charged usd1 if you login to paypal and pay with the credit card you attached to PayPal (note this is different -- this one means you login to PayPal).

im using maybank card...bought 4 sets of mi3 and i dont see any hidden or surcharge.
the usd1 notification is in fact nothing, i receive the same thing but bill statement shows none.
*
it depends. CIMB said this is the surcharge by Mastercard. it could be just something attached to KWIK card.

should be have 0.8% surcharge from paypal. i bought last week with both visa and master card. Paypal won't show the extra they charge u.
*
sounds like my case. which, according to CIMB, is charged by mastercard for 'overseas' transactions. as i shared earlier, CIMB said this Mi transaction is done via server in Singapore. so, its overseas and get charged.

i use cimb debit mastercard, no surcharge
*
maybe debit and credit card different gua...

anyway, it's a small amount. i think came up to just a few sen. at first, its more out of curiousity since i had just recently started using KWIK. worried KWIK/ CIMB was charging me. so, called them to confirm.

environment here means like in very wet/damp area which can cause the circuitry in the PB to go haywire.
Maybe wrong reading or what.

Thats what i understand from teacher google anyway

errr... sounds dangerous... i mean... how we'd know its unstable? when it fries our phone? by then... reset PB also pointless... heh heh...

just i find it funny to have this. i was charging phone and pressed on it. seems like phone was still charging. so, not really sure how useful is this.

Agreed.

Definitely possible to get 6000 units ordered within minutes considering the purchase power of average malaysians anyway.

and secondly, i have direct source with my friend in FedEx (not dispatch guy tau! laugh.gif ) to confirm that first batch of 4000 units was actually 5000 units. Most probably the extra 1k to the SC in case of spoilt units, not sure on that though.
