1 question...did i have to patch my COH from the 1st patch or can i just patch from the latest patch...

If you haven't patched it before you'll have to get the Full 1.61 patch which is a few hundred megs at least.

No Full 1.61 links yet, only way to get it is through RO.

For now you have to do it 1 by 1. First 1.00-1.40 then 1.4 to 1.51 then 1.51 to 1.6 then 1.6 to 1.61

following up from my previous post, regarding the sound problem. i would buy original product if i could. coz i can dl latest patches and go online, but it's a little out of my reach.

here's my pc's specs

C2D E4300, Gigabyte 965P-S3, 2G kingston 667 RAM, Xpertvision 7600GT, 250GB SATA Western Digital HDD. (saved for 4 years to buy!)

i've updated all the bios and drivers. but the GPU driver is the beta version which came with the cd. i did not install the official version because it came out before C2D, so i am thinking it would work better. nevertheless, there's a cc near my house (tbun, wangsa maju) which does not use C2D also encountered this problem.

anyone might know? maybe i'm missing audio file for the unit's speech.

i also used 7600GT. just dload a driver from www.nvidia.com ver 9371(XP). BTW, are u using XP or Vista ??

... and i used Gigabyte 965P-S3 mobo before but nvr had any problem.

thanks for the reply redcable, appreciate it. i am using OS XP SP2. you also installed "ahem" version of CoH? hmm, maybe it is cause of GPU driver, coz i am using beta which came with the cd.

just try to download the latest driver from www.nvidia.com will do fine.

theres a rumour that the dx10 patch will realeased 29th may.. can wait to see coh in dx10

i guess thats what you get with "ahem" products. i'ma gonna leave it just like that now. sigh.

i didnt encountered any problem like you on both of my machines. Even my friends do not have such kind of issue. Can you try to uninstall your soundcard driver. Then try to run it without sound 1st.
