Performance wise, worth it.. unless if you are very attached with the S-pen and notes things

multiwindow is not practical and i dont use it much.
the only time i used it was to compare 2 pictures. open using 2 different gallery app and able to compare the difference in real time.
the only one scenerio that i feel it's useful.

spen however, is really useful. u can write something on a pic and it makes the idea alot easier to understand when u send that pic to someone.
without spen, it is doable with picsart or other image editor, but takes much longer to do so. and the accuracy is not there.
and when you want to doodle something to better describe something to someone, it's easier and faster to write on action memo then to look for pen and paper.
pen is built into the phone. it doesnt add bulk, doesnt consume battery, and it adds value in terms of actual feature. i'm curious why other than samsung note series, no other manufacturer folo up this idea. having a pressure sensitive stylus is a great idea.

anyone knows how to unroot the mi3?

I love the S-Pen, really useful in my whatsapp groups especially for work/class discussions.
but it is seasonal, so it's really nice to have when i need it though

but now my workaround is screenshot > pixler express > doodle > send pic.

i have yet to find an unroot solution but practically u can try this. Go to recovery mode (i assume you know how), do a backup. So when u flash a developer rom and later you wanted to revert to stock rom, then you may just do a restore and everything will be back to ori and unroot mode...

Not they dominate... it is just because of marketing... and limited choice... since when u see Sony, HTC, Huawei and Lenovo have a phablet every year since 4 years ago.. all is just recently around 1.5-2 years...

bro, u cant simply revert back to Stock Rom because both are on different build. U need to full wipe then flash Stock ROM.

Unless u root on stable Rom then u can revert back.

if i am not wrong, i read somewhere that apparently, samsung acquires a company that specifically does S pen for them and this company holds the IP of it or something.. So somehow other companies are unable to create the same thing using the same technology.. can't remember the details of the story.. @_@

Tried the power bank on my Note 10.1 2014. Fully charged PB can only charge my fully drained Note 10.1 2014 up to 92%. Dun know how long it took coz i leave it overnight. Maybe need a few more charge/discharge cycle to fully unleash its capacity.

one more thing is the screen size. Once you have get used to the Note, hard to really use smaller screen size phone. I love the mi3 but unless they make one with 5.5" screen, I am stuck with the Note series. 6" like Xperia Ultra is too big though. Current Note 3 size is the max i am comfortable with. Looking forward for Note 4 this year, dun know what area they can still improve on Note 3.

Not acquired, but Samsung has some stake in Wacom, the industry leader in digitizer.

BTW, rooting the mi3 is like ABC, really easy. Any recommendation for adblock app?

if you have bought it, then you need to call up the individual courier service to deliver it to the address you want. i think some may need to pay a bit..

but for me, somehow nationwide did not get a full and completed address from ups or xiaomi, so they reconfirm with me. So i guess you can always mention another address you want to deliver.

yehhhh.....just got my mi3 yest..UPS damn slow stpd...dunno why my phone routed from HK-PH-TW-CN-KL
