Same. I also using 5S as secondary phone and formerly Z1 Compact as primary phone. Z1C too many unsolvable problems for daily usage ranging from frequent lost of network to weird auto vibration after each call. I solved this vibration problem with an auto run script but at the expense of battery drain. And don't forget, SOD - screen of death. Very frequent. Next is flash bleed. KNN! Speaker also lousy, kept producing crackle at each notification. Can't believe I paid RM 14xx for it about a month ago new original set. Even bought an expensive dock and QX case for it, the SPA-ACX4 from Japan!

Now, for RM 889, enter the Mi3, same specs as Z1C except for screen, modem, camera, memory card slot, battery and size. Speaker is clean and no crackles. Built-in notification and ringer tones also nice and clean. Very high quality to boot comparable to 5S. Camera better than Z1C depending on light conditions. Still loses to L920 in close up details. Unfortunately, the screen protector sucks. I wasted 3 pieces due to bubbles. Going to use glass only.

And i thought i suck at sticking protector..mine got lots of bubbles too. Just leave the other pieces alone. Maybe can get better protectors out there? Anyone knows where to get one?

Btw, this phone no gorilla glass rite??

It's remax. But both of them oleophobic coating is damn suck.
More prefer Glass-M or SGP.  sweat.gif

Gorrila Glass 2 or 3. Just touch it and feel, it's silky smooth. Ever since sammy tab 7 edi like this. At least that's how I distinguish normal to Gorilla. Problem will be oil as it will stick to screen and will fool the phone into thinkin those patch of oil is our touch which kinda bothers me. So after talkin on phone I have to rub it clean else the touch screen will go haywire. Another way to fix is press power den it will readjust but again issue is with the oil patch.  cry.gif

Well sp sticking is all patience and good clean environment. My fav place is during bath or b4 bath make the whole toilet stimy, den standby sum salophene tape, or double side tape or anything which is sticky but dun leave marks. Best is actually b4 u peel off the original protection sticker, u edi standby sp den juz peel off and stick on. Usually it's best but standby tape to stick dust n stuff. I take 10 - 30 minutes max to stick one phone. It's quite long if u want a perfect screen.

Btw so far I am still sourcing for SP nillkin H+ seems best now ?  rclxub.gif

Saw a lot of comments on screen protector.. maybe i can share some info too..
1. Not all PET Film got bubbles, at least imos OPC 3SAS oleophobic sp dont. Im using it personally. its RM60 each but it worth every single cents. And please dont complaint too much on normal sp too, its only RM10. What can u expect from that? like ppl always said, u pay peanuts, then u get peanuts lor..

2. yes. mi3 comes with gorilla glass. only mi2 using asahi glass. And if you willing to spend, there are also corning gorilla glass sp available in the market. in RM approx RM159 each. Its all depends if you willing to pay or not. So far, for M8, Z2 and ip5S users, those tried never regret, some accidentally drop and crack the sp, and they immediately wanted to get another piece. and again, theres a reason why corning is responsible for more than 2 billion screens.

3. if some of u did follow iPhone 5s accessories thread, you will see both glass-m and SGP are not really good in terms of oleophobic coating. mostly last u around 1 month then you will see it fades. for glass-m, since its cheap, ppl dont complaint too much but for SGP, u pay for premium but quality so-so only... u are paying for the brand rather than the quality.

4. Nilkin is another sp which quality roughly the same as glass-m but selling at higher price since not many are selling it compare to glass-m. But frankly the cost of both is around the same in china.

hope the above info helps.. some of u might thinks we are bias on our comments, but we are user too before we sell. We tried a lot of brands before we decided to commit on a brand. We dont sell based on price cos that's short term biz. We sell based on quality so ppl will come back when they need any.

QUOTE(chaukeng @ May 25 2014, 01:32 AM)
It is best not to immediately stick on after peeling off as there will be residues at the edge of the screen left by the previous sp. Prevent using the piece of cloth that comes with the sp. Those are usually low quality cloth and will leave a lot of dust on your screen. Use a spectacles cloth instead and slowly wipe out the residues in a vertical direction. Don't make circles or irregular patterns as small sands may stuck in your cloth and you end up wiping scratches on your screen. Then use the salophene tape like you said and stick off any visible dust. Normally any room without winds and fans will do just fine. Provided you are careful enough. You can also buy a bottle of zippo and pour it on the screen to clean away your residues more thoroughly.

Correct me if im wrong in any way. This is based on my own working experiences. biggrin.gif
*
zippo is alcohol right? u will kill the oleophobic coating if the alcohol content is more than 75%. you can mix with some water.. 1/3 of alcohol with 2/3 water. it will helps better on cleaning and protecting your screen coating. (info from our supplier in Taiwan)

in red: it depends on the brand u get. We always use imos cloth, in fact, i asked a forumer to help us buy it from the retail store when he visited taiwan. it was so good even compare to those 3M microfiber cloth.

Applying SP is EASY. You just need to be PATIENCE.

Note to take:
1. Switch off the fan/aircond (if aircond room, avoid the blower)
2. PRefer to install on a clean surface. (if table, remove everything especially cloth material)
3. Clean it slowly, we have seen ppl clean and rub on the screen hard, this will only create static and attract dust. You are cleaning a phone screen, u can do it slowly..
4. align based on any holes. it will be easier than aligning the corners..

hope this help.

Attached Image Attached Image
these are are not glass, its just the imos OPC 3SAS oleophobic sp.

I think the photos should explain why I personally would recommend imos. its the best sp so far in malaysia. and thats the reason we decided to choose it over other brands available.

er... how should i put it.. can a plastic shatter? to me, its a marketing gimmicks started by Sony.. a plastic film will not shatter even if you use a hammer or a nail on it. only the screen will. And if you are concern of the screen cracks/shatter after a drop, why not consider using a glass sp?
Whether is shatter or not, it doesnt makes much difference, you will have to send it for replacement. right? you u will still use it?

anyway, i try to answer your question. the adhesive of imos is an enhanced version that sticks well and leave no residue.

If that the case, would recommend you to use glass... Or a anti shock case. And yes, if budget is a constraint, go for glass-m. At least it's cheaper.. Won't recommend sgp after all those bad reviews from users that we got. I personally never tried their glass sp, but their ultra oleophobic is a disaster.. It's like xiaomi vs Samsung. Both quite similar but marketing and advertising cost of Samsung increase the selling price.. Consumer not only paying for products but also have to bear the cost of advertising., hehe., the more u see it on commercial or banner, the more u need to pay...

As for IMOS, since this is a discussion thread, can only say it's coming. For more details, we can discuss on our sales thread.. Hehe.. The link is on our siggy..

This phone failed to run Asphalt 8 on high graphic setting.. When loading to start a race, it forced closed.. Even if I set this phone to high performance, same. Medium graphic setting only can.. This is weird because even my old Nexus 4 still can run the game with high graphic setting. Can anyone confirm if their unit is behaving the same? If not, I'm certainly will send back this to SC
