check your cc.. mine stated 09/xx and they charged on september.. i can't waive mine because i don't swipe much with this cc..

Just received my OCBC MasterCard Blue.

I saw this on ringgitplus, but i register via booth.
Am i still entitled for the below promo?

Free laptop backpack when you swipe 3 times within 45 days of activation
valid until 31 December 2014
RM50 cashback when you swipe 3 times within 45 days of activation

Based on feedback from users, including myself, OCBC auto waived if u spend around RM30K to RM40K per year.

Mine and other member was Auto Waived.

But there is no harm in calling and asking for waiver.

Only cost a few sen, free if u use office phone.

Gain is RM50 - every sen counts

GST normally charged on the month before your anniversary date right.

If your Card is issued in Jan 2014, the GST should be charged in Dec 2014 Or it could be it Jan 2015 latest.

some say its better to call in Nov before they charge but you can always call when u receive the Statement.

if you call before it's charged, they will ask you to call back when it's charged. lol...
what you need to make sure is that you do not swipe any transaction after the gst is charged.
in this way, you still can cancel your card (if the gst cannot be waived) without needing to pay that gst.

Me too receive Annual Usage Bonus of RM50 to offset the GST charged without need to call the Bank etc.
