Already mentioned above. It's not covered under warranty though. Just treat it as buying NEW old model.

I'm so much happier with S730 for my kpop. Plenty of bass... I didn't noticed that sub was not ported until I checked mine. That's why they made it so big, tight bass.

Connect to tv?

I'm using it with HTPC. S730 sounds totally different from Studio 8.

R2800 is brighter, bigger sound field, probably more suited to a mid sized room. S730 is also better in a mid sized room but if you crank it up to max volume, it can fill the living room too. Probably S760 is more suited since it had more speaker to compensate.

Im not sure how you are going to use them. Personally I used them for my HTPC, ie. I placed them about 16ft from where I sat. For stereo content, they sounds okay via optical in. Just that I had to turn the volume quite high, around 40 on the controller. It is clear but a bit soft. Surprisingly R2800 sounds a bit louder. It could be that I turned the volume higher on R2800 (since no lcd to see the volume level). I did have to manage the volume on the S730 a little lower because I afraid my neighbor would be annoyed with the over powering bass.

I tried maxing the volume on the S730 for kpop and they are good. I would say better than R2800 because R2800 is brighter. I would try to move my HTPC over to the other wall of the living room so that it would only be 10ft away from my seating position.

Im pretty satisfied with the speaker, just that I had to turn it on pretty loud to enjoy it and could be a nuisance. Another thing would the digital input. It does pose a problem with multi channel videos. It sound really soft right now with multi channel. Normally the audio processing would mix everything into front channel but it seem to work only for analogue output, not digital output.

short review on my new S730:

Using it via optical out from my Samsung Ku6000 TV to the Speaker:

Subwoofer is generally powerful....it sounded rich when Im listening to music.... the only thing lacking is that the mids is a bit soft (dialogues when watching dramas are a bit underwhelmed). The good thing is when I connect it to the TV using optical out, it can play simulatneously with my Tv speakers. I have to say that Samsung KU6000 speakers mids are really superb...super clear dialogues... coupled with the bass and treble from S730 sound superb! Only thing is that it is just sufficient volume for my open concept living hall when i put it at maximum volume...

Using it with my TV BOX:

More or less the same experience as above, just that Im losing the mids clarity as the audio from TV has some offset... connecting it using RCA gives louder volume but losing some details/richness

Using it with laptop:
I am using the realtek onboard soundcard (no dedicated soundcard). Connecting my s730 to the laptop, the sound is louder, crispier and more details !!! looks like the cheap soundcard is doing something to my audio signal. It sounder so much better listening music and watching movie through my laptop... was wondering if I can attach the optical out from my TV to some DAC to get the same result....
