I'm new here. And literally know next to nothing about cars. I bought mine in 2014. It's a 660 model, make '94, has L2 engine (I think).

Anyhow, is there a good shop to send my car to get checked around Cheras/Kajang area? I just change gear oil after being recommended by a mechanic, but today, I saw a pool of oil under my car.

Mine also under tokio marine ..roughly 290plus only

Hey guys, my mom 660 automatic kancil very old d n can't go long distance at all coz easily heat up. Was wondering can I change the engine to improve the performance? If so wat engine can i change to? I asked before last time n the mechanic say kena potong car or smtg lik tht so not safe if accident

check water pump running or not - see water flowing after start engine by open radiator cap. please do not do this when it is hot.
Fan maybe a problem but difficult to check this.
if you do not wan to remove thermostat then change a new one .

i would change to a new thermostat mayb a lower temperature rating one.

oh. btw bro i will mention in detail how to check. (hopefully i can still remember)

open your radiator cap.
start your engine.
let it warm up.
if after warm up lets say 10-20mins you do not see the water flowing then your thermostat is stuck / water pump not working.

i have the experience of checking the thermostat when just warm up working fine.
but when running on the road the temperature goes up.
later found out the thermostat is intermittent when i took it out to test.

troubleshooting cars takes a lot of patience and luck.
if the problem is straight forward then your luck is good. if not you will be scratching your head for days or weeks haha!
but if you keep going you will gain valuable experience.

you can find tips on how to check the thermostat online and other troubleshooting tips. cars basically are the same.

i hate remove parts from kancil to repair. its really cramp in the engine bay.
