Nowdays even with 10mb connection Unifi is very slow even to browse the websites..

Most likely due most of the servers are located out of Malaysia...

In on VIP20 as well and am throttled horribly on youtube as well. Its insanely irritating. I cant even watch a 480p video properly let a lone 720p (got forbid 1080p). I'm in the PJ region and I noticed someone else saying they dont have a problem...

I've tried restarting router / pc and any number of combination of such device to no avail. Also the real issue is during day I can theoretically get decent performance out of youtube maybe watch 720p moving after buffering for 30 seconds or something like that. But at night, I cant even watch 480p without buffering like crazy. It play for 3 seconds and have to buffer for 10 seconds thereafter. It's ridiculous.

I've tried complaining and logging a call but nothing has come out of it.

Does any know whats up with this?

it happens everyday, youtube is getting throttled about 9-11pm daily...

But for me, I can still watch Twitch streams on "High" or "Source" setting no problemo...

But i sure hope that there are some agents here which can provide some feedback...

Actually if i have no background apps running, i can stream most youtube 1080p just nice on my 5bmps line...

So tbh 10mbps is already more than enough for a 1080p youtube stream, unless the line is being shared between few people then yes 20mbps will be decent for few people to stream 1080p simultaneously.

I just came out from tmpoint tmn desa.

I'm using unifi biz 5 ($199) at my RESIDENTIAL address in Bukit jalil. Contact over. Now I want to change to unifi vip 10 ($199) or biz 5 + office 365 ($199).

Tmpoint said I need to terminate my biz 5 and apply for vip10 or another new application for the biz 5+ O365. Got to wait for a port to become available.

Tmpoint says my area no more ports. Waiting list. Any suggestion what should I do now?

for fiber cable i think not much i can do right because it already installed when my house constructed. or maybe if they can do it will cost greatly.

so i think my option only to lengthen the cable from the point at my left wall to my right wall.

or i heard there is a device which can transmit the data through electricity? meaning i plug one end at my left wall and the exit at my right wall and then connect to the modem. so no visible cable at the wall. is such device exist lol

powerplug / homeplug transmit data from LAN cable into your electrical cable and comes out from the other end via the same way.

homeplug, but if your home uses a three phase power supply, the homeplug only works in the electric sockets that are in the same phase...

Need opinion. My unifi contract already over. Is it ok for me to terminate contract and sign new? Is installation still free? Because plan to move the setup to 1st floor (now currently the router/modem at ground floor guest room).

2nd question, any good router to replace the dir-615? Because connection not very stable on my macbook air. Read that asus rt-56 is good but also noticed some review mention problem with the 5ghz freq.

Appreciate sifu comments!
