I like the Cooler Master TPC-812 or Noctua NH-C14 as well. But my fav, the Spire Thermax Eclipse II, don't think can get that one locally. sad.gif

processor: i5
usage: gaming (latest game watchdog), some engineering software such
as catia
monitor : 23"
with any casing.

Guys, i send my Asrock mobo for RMA-ing. They said the cpu socket pin is bend and Asrock not cover warranty for it. I need to pay for the repair. I just, doh.gif
Since day 1 i purchase that board unable to fully utilize. Does other brand also like that?

You installed everything by yourself? Cases like this quite hard to justify, they will say you induce the defect yourself. sad.gif

Yah. Install by my self. This is not the 1st time i pasang proc. Lol
Demmit. Burn rm185 liao. When i first bought it, the ram slot A cannot working. Then after a month when i change casing fan, it wont go into post. Do all the troubleshooting also like that, change casing still same. So i end up buy new board, and RMA this one.

This morning receive a call, they said maybe need to charge due to cpu socket pin bend. Bad luck. T_T
Should go with better brand in the first place. Or maybe it just my luck. Oh well... doh.gif

Motherboard : your recommendation
RAM : Any 4Gb 1600Mhz x 2 of your recommendation
SSD : 120gb
Graphic Card : Any ATI R9 270x of your recommendation
Power Supply : your recommendation
Casing : your recommendation
CPU Cooler : your recommendation



2nd Rig Budget RM 2000

Processor :AMD Processor FX8320
Motherboard : your recommendation
RAM : Any 4Gb 1600Mhz x 2 of your recommendation
HDD : 1TB
Graphic Card : your recommendation (if possible ATI R9 270x of your recommendation )
Power Supply : your recommendation
Casing : your recommendation


both rig is for gaming only , occasion of movie and some internet browsing
just CPU only, no need monitor , keyboard , mouse


rig 1 confirm will be OC in future

rig 2 will be unlikely to be OC

Looking to build my first rig. Below is what I have come up with so far on my own. Any recommendations where I should cut/add?

Budget: RM3500 (Desktop Only)

Purpose: Gaming, Movies, Surfing net.

Processor : Core i5-4440 = RM589

Change the GPU to Gainward GTX770 Phantom @RM1125 and please upgrade the RAM to the Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB 1600Mhz @ RM255.

And follow TheHitman47's suggestion to upgrade to the newer haswell refresh chip.
