hi guys. based on recommedation by rav3n82 above, i got this quotation near my place.
my concern is motherboard. is it future/upgrade proof for gpu/cpu? it is not h81m but ga-81m, and the powersupply is it good enough to run my rig compare to rav3n82 suggestion coz its cheaper. hmm.gif

thanks.  smile.gif
*
Spotted a few things

1- seems that the CPU is overpriced??
2- The PSU will be okay of you're going with the GTX750 but if you opt for the Gtx760, better to get a 500W to 550W PSU
3- mobo is okay so long ast you're not thinking of CFX or SLI

Where is your location??

thanks bro.  notworthy.gif  ill stick with h81 board then. gtx 750 is ok with me. i think better i get 500 or 550 watt so that i can run better gpu in 3 or 4 years in the future.
thanks buddy.  biggrin.gif i dont intend to run cfx or sli. just want to play diablo 3 only. im at malacca. that may answer why the price is a bit expensive. i dont want to drive all the way to kl for this.  blush.gif

OIC... have you tried asking Idealtech if they could cater for your build? they do delivery as well wink.gif

BTW if 500W unit can go for FSP Hexa 500W, retails at RM149 in KL

the efficiency and build quality needs to be taken into consideration for psu imo smile.gif
*
+1

stay away from AVF or other similar power supplies, quality control is one, they also don't have the protection mechanisms and components that should be in a PSU. it may say 500W but thats normally peak power, by right, they should be running at about 300W at best

stick to prominent brands like FSP, Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, Thermaltake, Enermax, Gigabyte etc to be safe..... but just in case, check with all of us here at LYN wink.gif

have a read as well: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2620035

QUOTE(charkoteow3 @ Jun 25 2014, 04:13 PM)
Thank you Clem1982.

Do I really need a 650W PSU?
Was thinking about ditching out the HDD and grab another SSD.
Also, the BitFenix Colossus-M might be too tall for my liking, but are the provided fans quiet enough? A Cooler Master 130 Elite is a lot cheaper, might be able to throw in an air cooler for the cpu and a few 'quieter' fans.
*
you can get away with a good 600W PSU but a little more headroom doesn't hurt actually... the 550W can power the rig but I'm not sure what plans you will have for your GPU.. and the Silverstone one is fully modular as well
You can grab another SSD, no problem if you do not require that much space
So far the Spectre fans are good, generally quiet,
Understand about the BitFenix chassis wink.gif
yup no doubt the Elite 130 is smaller but before you go and buy extra fans and a cooler... have you actually seen the space limitation? you can only have a single 120mm fan at the front and your air cooler would have to be a c-type... I'd go with an AIO WC unit to save space

Tq for replying..
So far, i am planning to top up a bit and get the the CM storm scout 2 advanced white, like this one:
http://www.lelong.com.my/cooler-master-sto...5-06-Sale-P.htm
What do u guys think? Can i install my gpu in this? What disadvantages it has? Sorry to ask this.. I dont know what to look for when choosing the chassis smile.gif ..
*
The Scout II can fit the GPU no problems, it's designed to do just that wink.gif but that's around the RM300++ mark right??

other white chassis worth mentioning I think will be the BitFenix Shinobi Window, BitFenix Survivor, Corsair 600T, NZXT Phantom line, Nanoxia Deep Silence line, or even Cm's Elite line.. so many choices wink.gif

QUOTE(jakuraz @ Jul 17 2014, 07:03 AM)
then even Antec 550w Platinum is not enough for gtx 770?
i was hoping to reduce cost by going for fsp hexa 500w... cry.gif

but..
looking from this website , it says for gtx 770, the score(out of 10), with Antec 550w platinum is 8, while FSP Hexa 500w is 7.9...  hmm.gif
*
Well you can opt for the FSP Raider 650W @ RM269 actually this is very good already.. else can also opt for the Seasonic S12II 620W @ RM299 wink.gif going platinum is what makes the Antec pricier

and about the cooler, the CM TPC 812 not too sure if can get at RM120...usually above RM200++ I know the CM Hyper 212X is at about RM130 though so opt for this and you're good to go

so... it's 0.1 more compatible... I still think getting the headroom is better... since you're gonna OC anyway

Too bought in by the silky smooth matte-black type design offered by Bitfenix, which is why I'm also using a Razer Blackwidow despite what people say about Razer products.

So far I like Colossus M and Phenom M best... yup, both by Bitfenix tongue.gif

But both doesnt come with removable dust filters doh.gif

EDIT: Actually I think it does... just caught it on one of the paragraphs on the website (its not specifically mentioned in the spec sheet). Will have to check it out at LYP.
*
For Bitfenix Phenom-M and Colossus-M, assuming you're looking at the M-ATX version, it does have a dust filter but only at the top, this is because for the M-ATX layout the intake is reversed from top to bottom/back smile.gif unfortunately for the PSU intake at the front, there is none

Thanks for the reply ;-)

What is SATA port for? I'm only using 1 hdd and 1 graphic card (no intention of upgrading or adding any hdd) so will the extra SATA benefit me? Also I noticed b85 has pci3 compared to h81 which has pci2 ...whats the difference? will it affect my performance?
*
basically SATA ports are used to connect HDD, ODD, SSD and the likes

I've give hald the answer, so please do a bit of googling for PCIe 3 vs PCIe 2 smile.gif

the build will work, very healthy budget there H440 is a popular chassis so it should be everywhere by now

P/S: if black/red theme, can opt for Alchemy cables from BitFenix or Silverstone PPE wink.gif

Got qstion..if this spec with gpu stated below..will it be ok without 3rd party cooler too?
MSI GTX 770 TF 2GB GDDR5 256BIT OC

Also, does casing choice important for airflow too? Im planning to use this casing..Bitfenix Prodigy-M
*
the GPU already has a cooler on in... or are you referring to the CPU stock cooler?? in any case, no need to worry as the stock cooler should be enough since you're not able to OC it

yes chassis choice is important for airflow, but I thought you're re-using your own chassis?
