i thought so too, then one day i pop'ed into GC and they let me try their upper end martins. i was impressed, cause normally the martins i tried were mid tier ones and i was not impressed.

Yes true, likely because we have many now (with the improvements in guitar and its technologies) and all new comers are unique and exceptional in their style.
I don't really matter on the crowds though, all went with the bandwagon

i dont think we even have one now, i mean those that are famous liek groven, only appeal to those who are playing guitar. theres no like kurt cobain or something where folks just wanted to play smells like teen spirit

the average lad on the street u ask if he knows some of the names the guys here know, they look at u

well, im putting a loose definition, as long its someone who can capture the masses and inspire them to pick up the guitar.

these days, how many popular guitarists one can talk to a random layman about? if you go up to them and say groven, they might look at you strangely. only guy that comes to mind is mayer, chances are if you force a name out they might just say taylor swift
