rclxms.gif  Well said!
Nonetheless, we'll hav to wait another looong while b4 winning d league title. Remember Liv. in 2008-2009 season? They got 2nd. The nxt few seasons dat followed was simply disappointing. Although I hope Brendan can rebuild Liverpool and reach d standards of d 1980's, and start winning titles again, d reality is rather harsh as d moneybags (Che and MC) will always hav d best players dat money can buy...  cry.gif  Getting a constant top 10 placing in d EPL is simply not enough for a great club like Liverpool.  sad.gif

Which is why I want wenger's arsenal to win the FA cup. They been castrated for playing good football but poor defending. He wenger has never compromised his philosophy. Jose meanwhile adapted that it's "winning" is all that matters, hence coined the term "specialist in failure" for wenger. I don't doubt Jose is the type with winning mentality to instill on his team. How they both go about it are almost polar opposites.

Rodgers Liverpool this season has been praised for it's attacking and also some critique were at our almost lack of 'defenders' defending. Rodgers would prefer to continue to adopt that strategy (our vs Chelsea game is an example)

Will Rodgers be more pragmatic next season? Or would Jose have another pot shot at Rodgers to be another wenger 2?

Arsenal actually is not poor defending, they won plenty of 1-0, 2-0 matches, every season you see Arsenal near the top of league table, leading in mid-season, but a lot of time, flattering when crucial time or run in time, especially during around Feb-March period, whereby they have 2 front to compete (CL and league), when matches came thick the fast, a lot of time stumble.
Not the first time, but keep on repeating almost every season for the last few years already.

You need some special players, leader and some star players to carry the team when matter the most.
For eg. Yaya has carried the team well and scored plenty of goals to win matches, Dzeko came to score when Aguero injured during important run in time.
As during run in time, there may be nervy and inexperience that a thin fine line between winning and losing.

So you need some big name/start player to carry the team sometimes, in other word, need to spend some big money to bring those kind of players, as they don't come cheap mostly.

If not Liv willing to spend big on Suarez previously, Liv may still fighting for Europa league place only until now.

So some spending is always needed to bring good player, fresh up the team, replacing aging and stalled players in the team.

the arrival of Moyes in MU sure did Liverpool and d other teams a great favour, but d arrival of his statue in Anfield caused Liv to lose 2-0 to Chelsea... unsure.gif

Lucas+Aspas+Agger+Assaidi+Reina sales?

Now ESPN says that we have made a 20m bid for Lallana.

Griezmann? Martinez? drool.gif Arsenal are interested as well but we should have no problem beating them this time around thumbup.gif Medias are also heavily linking us with A.Cole. Another Kolo? No way

I think caulker is more realistic since he has initial S in his name in Steven Caulker.

Am quite sure there is a tinge of sadness and regret with the title so damn near but seem unlikely now....still, we kept CT on their toes until the last match of the season...but not bad for a team that spent so little....and having said this, I am sure next season transfer will bring back the bragging rights of who sign who for how much..

Its been at least 2 seasons I haven't look forward to transfer, not since we were out of the CL. With the transfer window barely open, we are linked with a few names, notably lallana, Caulkner, cole, which brings to question..can we get bigger names that these?? Not that I mind any of these players, but when was the last time BR ever get jaw-dropping signings....none....if I may put it, Sturij and Coutinho are considered 'sleeper' hit....how about having a go at bigger names for 14/15...how about Koke, Rakitic, Marco Reus and Firmino..players you know is going to cost a limb but with higher assist than Suso..not that Suso is doing too badly in asssit, but no goals to show....

I think BR owe us and himself a BIG signing...and looking forward to us making a statement next season, that we are not 1 season wonder....reinforcements are needed in all areas of defense, midfield and attack...not that theres anything wrong with SAS, just felt that Suarez needed some form of rotation next season, he cant possibly play in every league, cups and CL matches....

As for Newcastle game tomolo, the team know what is expected, and if we can get a goal feast, then its a bonus...and I don't think CT will have it easy at Westham..afterall Carroll have great record scoring against them...and I don't think CT can keep him quiet for 90 mins...just hope that Downing and Cole can conjure something for us...especially downing, who seem to hit form lately....it wont be easy, come on Hammers, let's make history

Even if there is going to be 'big' signing, they wont be going around advertsing their intentions.
Take all those names with a pinch of salt.
Problem with all these biggies, do they want to join us? Like it or not, life is short. No one especially top foreign players would want to be in a building phase.

i expect twist tonight. Big Andy wants to be on the plane to Rio.
