At the current bubbling house price, paying RM700k can only live in low cost landed property in prime area. Live like a poor people although paying RM700k. LOL
So the critical sign of a bubble is a lot of money needed to buy a low cost house. So sad.

QUOTE(bcpbeancounter @ May 21 2014, 01:50 PM) a condo near to office or "luxury" landed far away from office. I think difference people have difference choice. How luxury can it be for a 700k landed in KV? got swimming pool? 700k in KV only get u small (20x70) and low class single storey landed in a low cost taman. I'm asking who is the prospective buyer.

QUOTE(icemanfx @ May 21 2014, 03:19 PM) Lloyds Banking Group, which controls around a quarter of the country’s mortgage market, has now banned all loans of more than £500,000 with immediate effect – unless the mortgage offer is less than four times the household’s income. The cap will apply to Lloyds subsidiaries Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows Bank as well. Traditionally, couples were only ever allowed to borrow three or four times their joint salaries for a mortgage. However, in the years preceding the financial crisis of 2008, it was not uncommon for lenders to offer loans up to six times their wages. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-26...l#ixzz32KdNqpL9 It seems local banks are more gung ho. Actually after seeing control in UK and China, we will not see a financial crisis. Without crisis, how to pop bubble?

QUOTE(cfa28 @ May 21 2014, 04:37 PM) Honestly the unit look pretty run down and old. Need at least another RM100k++ to RM150K to make it look like new. For almost RM800K, better buy say at K2, Nadayu 92, Tropocinana Heights or even at Semenyih. Can get Semi-D already. Got more space, lifestyle, newer but of course downside is further from KL Make it new also no use because too small. Like living in a flat. What's the point right? Who will buy this? Not making sense at all. This is what we call bubble? Another single storey house selling for RM700k meant for poor people to stay one:- http://www.mudah.my/1+sty+terrace+reservoi...ld-26213368.htmHahaha, somemore posting with fake photo. QUOTE(Showtime747 @ May 21 2014, 04:57 PM) I think those are gimmicks by the agents ? This one is <RM300k for DSL http://www.iproperty.com.my/propertylistin...wnhouse-forsaleThis one is <RM400k for DSL also http://www.iproperty.com.my/propertylistin...k-house-forsaleFor apartment, there are still RM200k-RM300k decent sub-sale ones in KL. Maybe older and no swimming pool lah You check the listing again, 1st only is townhouse around 800sqft. 2nd one is so small with 2+1 bedroom + toilet. So sad nowaday. If you buy RM400k house, you look like earning below poverty line. If you buy RM700k house, you look like earning at poverty line. I rather go and rent a bigger house. Really malu wor stay those place.

QUOTE(Showtime747 @ May 21 2014, 05:09 PM) Kind of true. I agree property nowadays is too expensive. If you look at those listing, they are all old house. Most probably no more bank loans. Even if the bubble burst, the owner has no pressure to sell at lower price. Unless they need money I kind of pity those single income Gen Y. Decent property which can "show face to friends and relatives" is really out of reach. To buy property nowadays, you must marry someone who can earn at least the same salary. If not, all they can do is hope the bubble will burst. Your idea of renting is actually very good. The rental yield for landed is so low nowadays. But the risk of renting forever is always there lah Renting is better without risk at all now. I think Asian still think renting is malu. Hahaha... actually renting no risk one. But you cannot buy anything la. Only buy a few clothes. And rent fully furnished house.

Is it for poor people? 24x85 sq. ft. Its for medium class people. RM1.3million living in a 24x85 sq. ft. single storey house.
