If there is one Dutch player that I would want to see is Memphis Depay. Damn that lad is really good!

Depay is a talented player, would defo be a great addition to the club indeed. But please, it's either United or ManUtd, not Manu. Have some respect for the thread rules. Thanks.

I feel 30mil for Shaw is fair.

One, he is ENGLISH. That is the most important status of all.Second, he is only 18, but he is playing as if he has been playing in the league for many years, Shaw is that good. Stamina wise, comparable to Baines. Charging up front and back to defend. Third, good ROI. Why? I believe Shaw has many years to come for his potential, may even become a World Class left back eventually, knowing that an 18 years old dethroned Ashley Cole off a place to Brazil? Yes I would agree that he is still a raw gem but he will develop eventually, into one of the World's best.

I'd rather see us pay 30mil for Shaw now than watching other clubs signing him and eventually becomes a key full back for them rather than us. Let's not forget that the market is inflated, heck we even paid 27 for Fellaini, what is another 3 more for a player who has yet to peak?

In conclusion, he is English. English are overpriced. Rooney, Ferdy, Shearer, Cole etc. You get it.

Since Gill left, our 'targets' are nothing short of amusing, let alone desperate. Unless Woody can get Strootman, Hummels, Shaw and one more in this window, my stance for #WoodOut stands.

They kinda had to once they decided to sign Luiz, doesn't make sense having 3 guys from the same national team fighting for 2 starting spots in the same position. More so considering they've already run afoul of FFP and need to balance the books.

Clear case of them wanting experienced performers now instead of going for someone who might grow into the position.

March should never left Roma in the first place. Even in PSG, he is not a certain starter. Such a waste of talent for a promising centre-back. But the 30mil price tag is too much for Roma to reject, was a huge fan of him but noticed his progression slowed after joining PSG. Hopefully this won't be the case for Shaw, should he join us.

But Luiz for 50mil. laugh.gif laugh.gif Luiz is good going forward but his defending is quite questionable at times. Way overpriced to be honest lol

Louis van Gaal: Holland have David Moyes to thank for Robin van Persie's form

QUOTE
Holland manager Louis van Gaal has thanked David Moyes for the form of Robin van Persie and revealed he has been set a target of reaching the World Cup semi-finals by the Dutch FA.
Van Persie has scored in friendlies against Ghana and Ecuador and Van Gaal admitted Moyes - who he succeeded as Manchester United manager this summer - helped get the striker fit ahead of Holland's opening game against champions Spain on June 13.
The 30-year-old striker had been struggling with knee and thigh injuries after a frustrating season with United, but Moyes's decision to allow him to travel back to Holland for a fitness camp seems to have paid off - much to the relief of Van Gaal.

'He (Van Persie) is coming out of injury, you know that. We built him already up in our federation, our medical department,' Van Gaal told The Daily Mirror.
'It was under the permission of David Moyes. So we could control him. He has worked very hard. Then he played two matches of 20 or 30 minutes and the last match 30 minutes.'
Despite the rapid improvement in Van Persie's condition, Van Gaal admitted the striker has some way to go but he is confident he will be fully fit to face Spain.
He added: 'Van Persie had a heavy injury. So I think of course he is not 100 per cent fit. He is not 100 per cent fit. But he can play. We have two weeks to go (before the Spain game). But I think he will be 100%.'

Eliaquim Mangala set to spurn Manchester City move in hope of signing for rivals Manchester United instead

QUOTE
Manchester City’s pursuit of top summer target Eliaquim Mangala is being complicated by the fact the French central defender would prefer a move to neighbours United.
City are keen to bring Mangala to the club to partner captain Vincent Kompany as they defend their Barclays Premier League title next season and are hoping to negotiate with Porto over a ¤45million buy-out clause.
City, however, are facing a fight to convince the 23-year-old that he should join them rather than hold out for an offer from Old Trafford that may not come.

Sources close to the player have indicated that Mangala believes United and Chelsea are more ‘glamorous’ clubs than City.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho does have a fancy for Mangala after losing David Luiz to Paris Saint-Germain but he is not a top target for new United boss Louis van Gaal as he looks to replace Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
Van Gaal is instead considering a move for German defender Mats Hummels of Borussia Dortmund.
Mangala is so highly rated that one Premier League manager recently told journalists that he was the ‘most complete central defender in Europe’.

Kammon LVG, take Mangala already! Tall, solid, quick and still only 23. whistling.gif

We do need CM reinforcement though  biggrin.gif
*
Yup, definitely but not Fab. Someone who can track, control the midfield, like Strootman or Clasie. Heck, I would welcome Modric too but RM won't see him anyway lol. Matuidi or Veratti from PSG looks good too.

QUOTE(williamlee_1985 @ Jun 7 2014, 03:31 PM)
How can we not need him? Superb midfielder. Come in and straight slot into our first team, no doubt.
*
Fab comes in, where does Mata, Kagawa and Rooney play? Fab has a more attacking mindset, we have more than enough attacking minded players on the pitch already. We need an enforcer more than someone who goes forward, leaving a gap in the middle. Carrick ain't gonna play week in week out.

If we sign Fab then I'm fine with it. But our priority is a CM who can control, defend and add stability rather an the likes of Kroos or Fab.
