Manchester United's absence from the Champions League next season will cost the club £30m, says the club's executive vice chairman Ed Woodward, though he insists it will not affect their transfer business.
'Due to the television deals, we estimate our loss of European football will cost us in the mid £30m.
'The club's expectations are to absolutely get back into the Champions League and you'll see it in the transfer market.'

Speaking in a telephone conference he added: 'The 2013-14 season we finished a very disappointing seventh which means we will not play European football season.

A day ago, Bacary Sagna was thought to be a shoo-in to move to Manchester City. But the deal won't be completed anytime soon if Manchester United have anything to say about it. Multiple newspapers are now reporting that the Red Devils are interested in bringing the French defender to Old Trafford.

United could bring Sagna in to compete against Rafael, but the 31-year-old right-back isn't convinced he will leave Arsenal, saying, "I don't know. ... I've been talking with the club for a long time and we'll try to find a solution."

Sagna is 31. While our defend Vidic 32, Evra 33 and Rio 35. We are offloading our experience old-guard to be replace with 30+. I simply cannot brain as I think Vidic and Evra have much to offer. Rio can be offer pay as you play. Sedih la ini macam..
