Reminds me of yesterday when I (Necro, MM) go charr hunting with a ranger in pre-searing. End up dying till fed up vmad.gif  and skip the charr hunting  laugh.gif . Lack of coordination I guess. Too many charrs in a group. or we are too noob  tongue.gif
*
What are your levels when you attempt to kill the Charrs ? It is not advisible to attempt this unless you are LV10 and above (Anything lower and you are dead meat waiting to be slaughter). I also advise you do not attempt to go for the "Legendary Defender Of Ascalon" title (Reaching LV20 in Pre-Searing) on your 1st run because it's an extreamly time consuming process and will take weeks even months to achieve (not to mention it's bored as hell when get to LV16 and above). In normal circumstances players usually cross over to Post-Searing Ascalon when the reach around LV10-12 (Believe me...you don't miss much by going to Post-Ascalon early). The real fun begins when you reach Lion's Arch where you can gain access to other part of the game (Factions, Nightfall and EOTN).

eh guys, if i can get all GW for less than RM200 i'm really interested in playing the game now...

may i know which shop in Malaysia is selling the game now???

thank you... notworthy.gif

You can try contacting the following vendors and see if they have stock :

Link 1 : Guild Wars@e-club Malaysia

Link 2 : Pcgame.com.my

Link 3 : The Software Boutique

The Trilogy Pack should retail around RM175 but I think e-club is offering the Trilogy Pack+EOTN for RM200.

Why you feel bored is maybe due to the fact that you play the game too much (I saw you online almost everyday). Keep in mind that GW is not your typical grind fest MMORPG so don't treat it as one. If you feel bored...stop and try other things (I'm in between GW, Dragonica, PS3, PS2 and best of all "SLEEP" tongue.gif at the moment). It is suppose to be a casual game where you can leave and come back anytime. I mostly only can play on weekends due to work & other activities and didn't even finish most of the missions/quests but because of this lack of dedication GW is still interesting to me. If you really want a group outing I would suggest you organise one, send out the invitation to all your guildies so together you can decide on the best date, time and venue when most of them will be able to make it.

ok i got it finally...finallyyyy...arghhhhh....yippiieee....hahahaha...

Added on July 21, 2009, 9:59 pmok im confuse now. how come the races from Factions is not available in Prophecies campaigns? and they're differ in the skin customizations?

i wanted to play Assasin in prophecies campaigns...coz i remember u guys or somewhere stated prophecies campaign being a beginner campaign...

Added on July 21, 2009, 10:24 pm

how to get that mini quest?
*
1. The Assassin & Ritualist are professions (classes as they called in other games) that are created specifically for the Factions campaign hence only character created at Cantha can be a Assassin or Ritualist. Same goes for the Dervish and Paragon for Nightfall. Here are the breakdown :

Core Professions (All campaigns)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Warrior
Ranger
Monk
Necromancer
Elementalist
Mesmer

Canthan Professions (Factions only)
-----------------------------------------
Assassins
Ritualist

Elonian Professions (Nightfall only)
----------------------------------------
Dervish
Paragon

2. In order to change the outlook of your character after the initial creation you can buy the makeover pack from the in-game store. The makeover stylist is located at The Great Temple of Balthazar which you can only access later in the game. (The 6 core professions will have access to all hair/faces/skins from all campaigns while the campaign specific professions will only get the default selections).

3. Prophecies is not a beginner campaign but rather it is the 1st game with only 6 core professions available. As time goes by they added Assassin / Ritualist in Factions and Dervish / Paragon in Nightfall which are all created to fit the theme of their respective campaign as an added bonus. Although you cannot make the 4 campaign specific professions in other campaigns you can still pick them up as secondary profession and use their skill through the Profession Changer later in the game.

4. When the character reach a certain checkpoint in their own campaign they will be presented with the cross-campaign quest so be please be patient until you reach that stage.

gw sure does brings up some memories. kinda miss my necro. anyway anyone care to uh, tell me bits on what's new in EotN? (well seeing the page count reading the whole things will take a while). i've played the trilogy (havent completed nightfall tho).
*
Well.... besides the obvious addition of new skills, weapons/armors (which all look cool BTW), gorgeous scenery and good storyline which serve as a follow up to the GW2 lore there is the introduction of new titles (grinding..!! tongue.gif ) that are linked to some special PVE only skills & content which will be more effective as your title level goes up. The additional new heroes also make it possible to put together some quite unique & effective team build using the same profession (i.e. 4 Elementalist, 4 Necros, 4 Rangers...etc). EOTN is just an add on pack which is meant for existing GW players so you can't create new character there and you will need at least 1 of the original 3 campaign to access it. Ohh..and there are lot's of dungeon like locations in EOTN for those who like dungeon hacking (or "raiding" as they called it in other games) and a pokemon like minigame called Polymock.

uhhh i hate it when i went travel and my pet is left somewhere back there...and when i summon it, it says pet is out of reach...

anyway to solve this pet missing problem?
*
Either your pet died at a place outside of your radar or it's got stuck on something. If it's dead you must ressurect it (using Comfort Animal) within the radar range as the skill does not work outside of it. If it's stuck you have no choice but to trace it back where you left it. You can control your pet actions manually by clicking the button beside your pet's health bar at the party menu.

Sigh sad.gif ...now I cannot use Sharpen Dagger with my Critical Barrage build anymore...Oh well... the sacrifice you have to make for game update like this...LOL tongue.gif . (On the plus side this is what make the game fun as it makes you think and come up with new skill builds)

Happy CNY to all existing Guild Wars players. I'm planning a tea session (yum char) for us GW players to get together for some light chat and maybe making plans for some GW activities. Nothing substantial yet so the time and venue may change accordingly but hopefully more people can join in. At the moment it we are planning on meeting at Mid Valley Megamall on 20th Feb. Those who wish to participate may leave messages/comments on this thread or PM me here or in-game.

Hope to see you there wink.gif

Wow...you guys are still alive... tongue.gif . Haven't seen anyone online for ages (maybe because of my odd play time hmm.gif ). Initially want to arrange for small gathering but since we can't decide on a proper time when everyone is free it's temporarily "withheld" at the moment. Who knows.... maybe we can do it when GW2 arrive.

Thanks for the help.
I don't know how to get there, since I'm not from KL myself.
Don't worry. I got sudden speed boost, going about 50~70kb/sec now.
Will be done soon. smile.gif

One question: If I were to make a Assassin/Dervish character, I have to travel to Elona (Nightfall) to get Dervish profession? Not that I mind the story chronology.
*
QUOTE(chk2008 @ Aug 2 2010, 07:17 PM)
I think you change your secondary job in Senji Corner (Factions campaign) into dervish provided your account have nightfall campaign. So no ,You dont have to travel to Elona
*
You can change you're secondary profession at Senji's Corner but you will still need to get Dervish skills from Nightfall. I would suggest you go to the Command Post route via Kamadan instead once you reach Kaineng Center.

I can always come back to help 8D Not sure how much help an Assassin can be though. Didn't follow the recent patches so I don't know the new meta.

QUOTE(banks @ Aug 23 2010, 04:32 PM)
Same here. Haven't played guild wars for a long time now, but from what the guild wars updates, only meta for the mesmer is changed. No changes to assassin.
