well its quite cheap really. would have been a real bargain if it included some stuff. i was quoted rm 1550 for just the camera in Fotozoom (not fotozzom) SS2

i called canon last 2 weeks. they said it will be priced higher than the s3
but they said it will be lower than 2k. since you can get a s3is for about rm1400 now, i doubt it will go any lower besides, if want to wait, you have to wait till the s5 comes out and wait for the official reviews. just because the s3is is good does not mean s5 will be better. one just have to take a look at h5 and h7/h9 to know more isn't necessarily better now must wait and hope till next week for my camera... |

QUOTE(llamasonic @ Jun 3 2007, 02:47 AM) i've just taken some photos of the moon using zoom, i noticed one red pixel when loaded them up on the computer. i went through some of my other photos and there was the red pixel again.. anyone seen this on other digital cams? way to fix it or have to send to canon? looks like a bad pixel or a stuck pixel. its common especially if you have taken many pictures with it. if its under warranty, just ask canon to fix it for you. it would be ok if it was only on your lcd but since its on the pictures, it would be the ccd's problem. no worries.source image with annoying red pixel it's right at the bottom, middle |

if you want to wait then you have to wait for it to launch and wait for maybe a week up to a month for a good review
its not going to be cheap and will probably maintain the price for a month or so. if you add up all that, its going to be a few months before you might actually feel that its the best time to buy it besides, i dont really think it is a big improvement over the s3is. the image quality might actually lose to the s3is due to its additional 2mp. unless u really really like a bigger screen. like the Sony h7/h9, though it is 8mp, i felt that image quality was disappointing. aggressive noise reduction meant that larger prints would not be appropriate. to me, the h5 (7mp) took clearer and sharper pics end of the day, doesnt matter if s5is looks better than s3is on paper. based on the sample image i have seen on the canon website, the s5is's image quality is nothing to shout about. difference with s3is is minimal or unnoticeable. just my thoughts just wait for review or buy the s3is, which has prove it is the best cam. in its class! hope that helps! |

Yours an used unit? yea...its already discontinued. my bro found in in japan. no...its a new unit.first retail price was USD1999 but street price was around USD 1500 =) |
