Which one is faster/responsive in your opinion?
Have you ever tried iTrade?
*
Both Jupiter and Kenanga is using same platform.
So both is as fast.
Which means, it's up to you to choose which one is suitable for you.

I do use iTrade.
However, my trades there is so limited.
Maybe once a year. laugh.gif
Why? Just not so comfy for me personally.

Put emotion aside is very important...like SKpetro ...haiz...no eye see
*
I wouldn't that. sweat.gif sweat.gif

EVERYTHING will depend on HOW GOOD THE STOCK you will be holding and hopefully, you did not overpay for it.

The danger in just putting emotions aside is that one will run the risk of holding onto a stock in regardless of whether the reason to buy the stock was reasonable in the first place.
It means one run the risk of stubbornly holding onto lousy stock picks.

Nope. I hold SKPetro mainly because of their strong fundamental & earning on few quarter ahead.

Need not worry too much as this time SKPetro price drop mainly due to ppl's perception on crude oil price drop vs foreign fund pull off.

See this article  :

*
I would agree.
Not all O&G are the same.
And actually at current prices, perhaps there is some justification to go for SKPetro.

This article is good read: http://www.cnbc.com/id/102078976?utm_sourc..._medium=twitter

So what will you do boon3.... will you hold share like Skpetro at this moment ? My entry price is 3.80....  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

The one thing I can do is give direct personal advice leh....

I am not an adviser. sweat.gif sweat.gif

But what I will say is...
no matter what happens (in the near future)....
do you think you can learn from this experience?

for example... if SKPetro drops further ( err... IF la)..... would you say your entry at 3.80 was rather rash?
ie... do you think that perhaps you could improve on your buying?

ask yourself if there is anywhere you could have done better? smile.gif

When you said 3.80, you probably bought SKPet on this day and you were looking at this

Not sure about you but based on the chart, I do not think that 3.80 was a good entry point.

Nothing indicated the stock will turn...

And for me I do not even know where the exit point is if I enter at 3.80.

Said the following this morning....

Were you thinking that perhaps SKPet had already fallen a lot and that SKPet might do a 'V' turn up .... soon?

and now the stock ..... has fallen a lot............. sweat.gif sweat.gif

well.... why don't you ask yourself...... how and why you are stuck with stock ABC ?

Was ABC the right stock pick?

Or did you enter ABC at the wrong price?

for me..... BUYING is rather important.
BUYING correct will solve most of a trader's problems.

teach us some buying skill...

so far you mentioned that buying during breakout - however. if you buy during breakout, there 2 times which will be not really suitable to do so

1) usually market will gap up in the morning if dow jones sentimental is good, gap down if the opposite. therefore buying in the morning may actually may not be the best buy, there is some margin of profit being absorbed

2) buy before the market stops at 5. this is tricky as well. buy stocks which have a breakout in the late afternoon have the tendancy to be gaped down if dow jones are bad later the in late evening ( malaysia time) however the advantages of buying before the market stop is that we are able to pickup some pretty good deal from those contra players. but if we were to buy with a breakout may seems is a bad idea, this only works well at bottom fishing
*
I got no skill one laaaa......

p/s : You do realise that our market do not follow Dow Jones all the time?

'usually'..... not same as 'all the time' tongue.gif

Anyway, I have seen far too many times before contradictory movements to know never to make a trade based solely on Dow movements.
It's never a sure win strategy.

I think it's a rather bandwagon analysis la.... tongue.gif

Yes, there's a likelyhood that future earnings 'might' fall but then when you put into consideration the magnitude of fall most O&G had already 'suffered'....
in my opinion... it's simply a rash bandwagon analysis....
as it is... in my opinion... the market has already more than priced in the potential shortfall in future earnings from the O&G stocks.

just my opinion la....
they are the pro la....
not me... tongue.gif

Market news driven again eh

So i have a dilemma here.

Based on FA, there's good company that is becoming cheap. One can buy in stages or even average down

Based on TA, not yet boy, not yet.

So how? hmm.gif
*
Well what's important for you???

wink.gif

tongue.gif

Isn't that the most important question for yourself.
You need to play your best game in the shark market.
Therefor, you really need to know what is important for your game.

That's all to it.

So what do you want?

Do you want to be a collector of cheap stocks?

or do you want to be in the stock simply cos you feel the stock should move up???

p/s whatever happen to your friend? Yea... that one... called.... TREND?

Feeling better or not i'm not sure. A bit confuse definitely. Lol

But the scenario i'm facing now, after knowing some FA, some stocks are shouting "hey there mate, i'm damn cheap right now!" The temptation to average down on previous support is definitely there. =.="

Guess i have to ask/find out myself to set which priority better. Guess most likely i go for TA first, FA 2nd. Lol
*
Whenever there is a correction, some stocks definitely will be cheap.

No doubt. tongue.gif

But then..... don't you confuse yourself on SIAPA YOU.

Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful?  biggrin.gif
That's actually one bad advice.

whistling.gif

Why?

It always, always, always lead to one buying too early.

Best example?
Inari.

I believe many started buying once it hit 2.70.......
They thought they were being greedy...
and others simply sold .... cos they were takut. tongue.gif

then....
they can only watch....
as Inari fell and fell..................

Then Inari fell to 2.50......

WOW!
Seems like super bargain...
They started thinking.....
those people...
scared until pants fall out....
so they be greedy again....

what happen next?
Mind telling me...
how low Inari fell BEFORE it rebounded?
