Ah Boon.. I'm taking a shot at this.. tongue.gif

you would buy before the breakout because others stocks in the same business had a strong run up but homer not yet?? homer cash is piling up, it's not a asset intensive business so expecting cash to be returned to shareholders via special dividend? when dividend increase, market will correct the price of homer??

Actually there are other companies in plastic related industry.
For example: Mah Sing also (but no one cares anymore cos for Mah Sing, property is now their main business)
Thong Guan
SLP Resources
Daibochi
Tomypak
etc etc .....

How know?
Err.... doing a lot of research over the years help a lot. tongue.gif
*
Yeap i knew Mahsing for its property

Daibochi i thought is the food right?
Tomypak is the packaging like Boxpak?

Now i know why i don't have all those stocks because there's no volume on them =.="

brows.gif research/homework will never be enough in stock market eh. Almost can learn something everyday in them

Edit: quick look on those stocks you mentioned doesn't show much movement (DAI,TOMY,TGUAN except SLP)? So i don't think i would not have spotted SKPRES and TECNIC in anyway before today's closing.

Aiyo, what i did not do? Did not save this chart in my watchlist lo as you know low volume hence i didn't save it =.=

What did i do? I remember i try to implement my FA on it. Let me see. I used i3investor website to check its financial. Quick look on its TTM, with PE10x, its current price is not cheap already ya? Another way i think i calculated is its last 2 quarter total EPS times 2, with PE 10x, below 2 so didn't bother much already lo

Please do note i do this very brief since its low volume doesn't attract me too much haha.

Feel free to bombard as always LOL

Edit: Wa mau breakout d ar IQ? Haha

don't be so sure about it although it's good to be optimistic

look at homeritz share, not easy to trade. look how traders play with the announcement and their way of pulling it back. not easy

meanwhile it's good to look at some health care counter too biggrin.gif

That's pretty good reasoning.

Just remember the 'expecting' is just 'speculating'

And most important be open about it and understand one can always be wrong.

Yes, Dai and Tomy is in the food but it's the plastic packaging for food.

Remember...
Sometimes we use TTM and sometimes we need to compare it versus annualised earnings.
If we don't do this, we might miss out the big winners in turnaround stocks.
And we also compare the TTM numbers against previous years numbers...ie...we check the growth (common sense, yes?)
Growth means company making more money.
And making more money means the company is doing something good.
If no growth, what's your common sense thinking about the company?

Therefor, do look again at IQ numbers.
See if you see potential or not.

Low volume stocks can change one.
No?
It's like bad stock can be good stock yes?
The change in trading pattern (volume) indicates a different stock... yes?

Yes, they would not give it all back to the shareholders....

BUT ..... if you do some research......

For FY 2012, it paid a final dividend of 2.25 sen.
For FY 2013, it paid a final dividend again BUT did you know that the dividend was increased to 2.75 sen.

Based on past history PLUS the fact the company's profit had increased substantially and most importantly, cash balances has also increased tremendously, so therefor, you can not fault a speculator from speculating that the company might give out a much better final dividend.

Yes, key word is speculate.... or ....... GAMBLE..... or BET!

LOL!

laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

It's the shark market laaa.....
everyone (yes, including investors) is betting on something...... tongue.gif tongue.gif
