wanna know how much is it to go online with celcom SOX..
coz i read its rm8/unlimited access per day..
means i pay rm8 no matter how much kb i use?
*
yup, you can surf unlimited for the whole day (24 hours).. but please make sure you're subsribing it first.. to subsribe simply dial *118#, and select Celcom Broadband.

after your Daily Unlimited D8 activated, you can start surfing for the next 24 hours.. once it expired, you have to subsribe it again, just repeat the same step above..

rm8 will be deducted for each request..

if you're surfing without subsribe daily unlimited, normal charge 10sen/10KB apply.. so be carefull before start surfing. make sure your request for D8 is succesfully before surfing..

100 is under TM right? government want to earn more money ar? tsk tsk
*
before this, Celcom is a TM company.. but now Celcom is no longer TM company.. that is why Celcom users need to pay to call 100 now..

TMI has been taken out from TM organisation, that made TMI a new company, and Celcom has been transfered from TM to TMI..

100 is not the same as 1111.. 1111 is a internal careline that manage by Celcom itself. while 100 is a integrated careline manage by TM for all services under TM group (includes Celcom). so 1111 will remain free, only 100 will be charged.

Not anymore, Celcom has been transfered to TMI (TM International).

TMI before this is subsdiary of TM itself, but they has demerger and become two separate company, so TM and TMI now is no longer affiliate each other. the company transition process complete early 2008 if im not mistaken..

TM take TMnet, VADS, KLTower, MMU and other local company, internet business, etc..

TMI take Celcom, and continue to handle their other mobile operator at 10 other countries. TMI want to become pure mobile operator like Vodafone.

but, basically Khazanah Nasional still main share holder for both TM and TMI company.

wether you aware or not, there is "A TM Company" slogan/trademark on old celcom logo, but on new celcom logo there is no such slogan/trademark anymore.

About TMI

TM International (TMI) is the emerging leader in Asian telecommunications with significant presence in Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Cambodia. In addition, the Malaysian-grown holding company has strategic mobile and non-mobile telecommunications operations and investments in India, Singapore, Iran, Pakistan and Thailand.

The Group's mobile subsidiaries and associates operate under the brand name 'Celcom' in Malaysia, 'XL' in Indonesia, 'Dialog' in Sri Lanka, 'AKTEL' in Bangladesh, 'HELLO' in Cambodia, 'Idea' and 'Spice' in India, 'M1' in Singapore, and 'MTCE' in Iran (Esfahan).

TMI was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act, 1965 of Malaysia, on June 12, 1992 as a private limited company under the name Telekom Malaysia International Sdn Bhd and commenced business in 1994. On October 16, 2001, the company changed its name to TM International Sdn Bhd. Further, on December 12, 2007, the company was converted into a public company.

It was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia on the 28 April 2008. TMI is among the top ten biggest public limited companies in Malaysia by market capitalisation, and the first listed pan-Asian pure cellular service provider in the region.

The Group, including subsidiaries and associates, has about 50 million mobile subscribers in Asia, putting it among the largest mobile telecommunication providers in the region by turnover. The Group has approximately 13,000 people under employment in ten countries.

actually they want to increase the share value for TMI. because, TMI share is under value for a long time just because of TM it self.. most investor feel that TM (which their main business is home fixed line) is no longer can make profit.. people now are switching to mobile phone..

so, the idea is to seperate TM and TMI.. TM can focus on internet service provider business, while TMI focus on mobile segments.

no one know except internal celcom staff.. and their boss might change his mind at anytime lol.. sweat.gif

by the way, i want to highlight something here.. about 51 reason why we should choose celcom..

http://www.celcom.com.my/cep/xresources/Ce...ess/reason.html

i notice on reason number 25,

25. Only operator to offer unlimited free voice and video calls, SMS and MMS
- Other operators only provide ‘free’ voice calls, or capped bundles, but with our 1+5 plan all services are free and without limit amongst the six numbers.

this is truely wrong fact! doh.gif

that 51 reason they list out during before 1+5 plan.. at that time still 1+3, so the reason number 25 should be true.. but now not anymore and they should remove it.. only 50 reasons left.. lol laugh.gif

but...

the weird thing is, actually they do updated it.. in that list, they has change plan name from 1+3 to 1+5.. but only name updated, the 'unlimited' term still not updated.. doh.gif

you can try send sms by typing SET and send to 20999.. but if it still failed, you might try to setup manually..

just refer to the following site.

for GPRS (non 3G) settings
WAP settings visit http://www.channelx.com.my/mdp/gprs/wap_config.jsp
MMS settings visit http://www.channelx.com.my/mdp/gprs/mms_config.jsp

for 3G settings
WAP settings visit http://www.channelx.com.my/mdp/3g/wap_config_3g.jsp
MMS settings visit http://www.channelx.com.my/mdp/3g/mms_config_3g.jsp

asking....if we use 1+5 plan and didnot make outside call...

just make call to main line anly...

how much they will charge at our bill??

coz i ask them already and they said 1+5 plan have no monthly commitment fee...so monthly bill will be free??

who already use this plan can explain to me.... tongue.gif
*
RM5/month only.. confirm (if you only call/sms/mms/video call to main line).

but if you make call from supp line to main line more than 40 hours / month, it will be charged at 30sen/min. for sms, maximum 2000sms per month.. additional extra sms will be charged 10sen/sms.

*do not subsribe itemised billing (since it will charge aditional rm3/month)

actually when i want port to celcom i already ask bout this...just wanna conformation here..

so the conclusion is 1+5 plan is very cheap...eventhough the rate for outside call is 30sen/min and 10sen/sms its better then use prepaid...and still got 40hour and 2000sms free to main line...

no regret port to celcom ady... rclxms.gif
*
yup, 30sen/min FLAT is better than prepaid.. and as we all know, the main concern for prepaid users who wish to migrate to postpaid is about comitment usage.. so, better with 1+5 because no minimum usage required.

Maybe this link will help http://www.celcom.com.my/cep/xresources/Ce...bbgiveaway.html

Celcom should have an option for normal html in for their webpage. Not all people like flash.
*
but i found the similiar offer, a christmass promotion on bluecube website.. i dont know this sms is for which promoting, getting confuse..

about website, i listed out all the weakness

- can't view the website for non supported flash browser
- can't view the website if the loading stuck somewhere due to internet connection problem
- taking too much time to load due to huge size of flashy site
- no percentage indicator to show the loading progress so we know how long it will take to finished
- not user friendly, ecspecially to those who are first time visiting their website
- didn't know the url/link for the specific content/page, so cannot copy and paste their url somewhere else
- can't copy their website content (ecsp text based content)
- less content/information provided in their website
- not so uptodate content/information

i dont know how to foward this matter to their higher management.. one of my friend used to work at their IT department (celcom Hq) and said the website is no longer under their maintenance but its now under marketing department. and marketing department doesn't know anything about IT, they only know how to update the content of the website.

my friend said it is dificult to change the higher management mindset. they still own old mindset thinking, they prefer full flash website since they believe 'full flash' is the most socistificated website. my friend said, if he tried to change his boss thinking he will be fired sweat.gif
