s.p.a.c.e dont need no engineers. |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jul 31 2006, 08:43 AM) I Lol'ed oooh... that's what they say when they wanted u off the perdana. Anyways, SPACE final papers tend to be more easier than the full time courses ones from what I heard, another reason why I joined it. it's actually the same. but they tend to be more lenient in marking, especially on essays. |

hahaha, I hated when my PA goes "Muka KO LAGI!"
anyways, Space usually has less students than Arus perdana, so lecturers tend to be more open as the students are also more mature This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Jul 31 2006, 09:17 AM |

How about postgraduate programme ? If I have 2 years working experience regardless of my degree result, does UTM accept my application ?

now this is quite off topic, coz UTM s.p.a.c.e does not offer any postgraduate programme.
but just to answer that question: only if u fulfill the minimum requirement of 3.00 CGPA. with 3.00, u dont need to have any working experience. but if u score lower than 3.00, u might need a little more than just 2 years working experience. it will also depends on what specialization u're going to master in. |

yes ofcourse it's a little pricier. it's a part time course catered for those who're already working, and UTM is paying it's fulltime lecturers extra money to work during weekends. so that money has to come from somewhere
yes, a poly student can apply for undergraduate (degree or diploma) programme. u'll be given exemptions depending on ur certificate/diploma and what u achieved when graduating from poly. it varies from person to person, so u'd have to check when u apply. sorry cant help u with the details on this. |

the whole UTM = universiti tendang menendang to me is absolute bollocks. UTM has less number of drop out than some universities, so i believe it's just to fulfill the acronym, just as people say UPM = universiti penuh manusia and UiTM = universiti ini tolong melayu etc.
as far as SPACE is concerned, it is basically impossible for u to get kicked out. u can drop urself out, but UTM have no obligation to kick u out. here's why: UTM's SPACE is a part time programme that has no time limit whatsoever. i had one student who've been in the programme almost 10 years and have yet to graduate. u can repeat subjects as many times u want as long as u pay the fees. we understand that working students sometimes couldnt spare time for studies, especially married women. sometimes a student just "cuti" for a year and continue back where they left off. this is something that fulltime students do not have the privelege of. bottom line is, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get kicked out of SPACE even if u have disciplinary problems. |

QUOTE(numlock @ Aug 19 2006, 07:21 PM) yes obviously. a huge percentage of the money u pay for the fees goes directly into the lecturer's pockets. they have the obligation to attend to ur needs (some said even more than they'd give to fulltime students). look at it this way. u're still a student of UTM. period. |

*currently in Makmal Linux 2 taking Software Engineering*
the lecturers tend to remember you better as you spend longer time with them, thus, you can have a better relationship and easier to ask for help with anything, and I mean anything |
