English narrated live Rio are almost all blocked, look for Chinese narrated CCTV5 and CCTV5+

Don't forget about RTM1 and RTM2 in the Kodi.

For unifi users, hypptv has 7 channels free to watch Rio Olympics.

Just install the apk file name start with 00-CN, you will find cctv 5 from some of the apps.

for rio 2016, u have these choices:

.. hypptv: 7 channels in 1080i
.. kodi-adrian supertv-world of sports: 5 channels in 576
.. boxerliveplayer (in nicety's drive): cctv5, cctv5+in 720

cctv5, cctv5+ suspended in tvplus2.0, hdp, hdpfans.

users of kodi/adrian supertv, take note old versions 1.1.0 or 1.1.1 has been nulled.

u need new repo to get version 1.1.6 to get it back.

AFter some time, the streaming just stop and can't watch further. Happened before the other night. Any idea whats the problem ?

The error was failed to connect. I am using vpn.. when I change vpn server location, the streaming is back on again though.

I presumed you mean Kodi, obviously your VPN server is the root cause, either the server congested or block by the VPN server ISP. Which country VPN server are you using? When you switch to alternate VPN server, is it same country? I would suggest you turn off VPN for temporary, use VPN only when local throttling.

I was using USA server, then switched to HK and it was ok. Turning off vpn also didn't have issues so far but i didn't want to take chances on local throttling

In this case, your root cause come from US ISP. please don't miss understand that only local could throttle , US ISP is doing the same due to their needs.
