Dear Customers,

OpenSubtitles has enabled the login and password in order to use their service. Your Kodi will prompt the below error if you access to OpenSubtitles addon :



Please follow the below steps to continue access to OpenSubtitles :
1). Goto http://www.opensubtitles.org/, register new account for OpenSubtitles.

2). Try login to above website once you successfully register with OpenSubtitles. Until you manage to login then only proceed to step #3.

3). Start your Kodi, goto System -> My Addon -> Subtitles -> OpenSubtitles.

4). Click "Configure" as per below screen.


5). Enter your login and password as per new account registered in step #1.

P/S: if you already have OpenSubtitles account use for ShowBox, the login and password could be shared for both Showbox and Kodi.

6). If you manage to login successfully, you should see the subtitle provide by OpenSubtitles.

No, this is 4th generation of Q series with CV200 chipset. model. Please don't apply the firmware.

Please always refer to our skydrive to avoid install the wrong firmware. Q5 Pro and Q10 Pro is CV200 chipset, but please don't install firmware from Himedia Chinese website, Chinese firmware do not have google play store. Again, please always refer to our skydrive.

AStro On the Go is not possible to stream.

I acquired a Himedia Q10pro!

Q16 and Q5ii still in good use.

This Q10pro works with 4K AVR and 4K TV.

My first findings with Q10pro, 2/16gb, android 7:

GENERAL
.. solid box, stays cool unlike q16 which gets quite hot if w/o mini fan.
.. new launcher is simple and functional, good.
.. connectivity, wifi, just the same as q16, q5ii.
.. HDD slot is simple - I put a 7 yr old old unit in there, works good.
.. playback with native media center or file manager as usual, as promised - 2160p 60fps, HD audio, hevc265, 10bit, BDMV - all good. Yet to test DD Atmos, DTSX.


KODI
.. I installed kodi 17.0 rc3 in there, used org.xbmc.org from q16, works good. By the way, Kodi 17 is very nice looking!
.. 4k, hevc265, 10 bit streams from Quasar, OK.
.. but there can only be 2.0 audio from the addons at this time - a Kodi 17 (not with kodi 16.1) issue with androids. Read that himedia will be coming up with a fix for this kodi 17 multi channel/hd audio stream issues. USB playback is fine with the wrapper set to player and audio passthrough enabled.


Perhaps because I already know quite a bit about himedia Q series boxes, I expected nothing less. It will be a shock for me if I encounter funny problems!
One thing I am aware is that the pleasant experience with the box right from the start is not something to be taken for granted.

Q16 users looking for an upgrade, take note - Q10pro can do the following that Q16 cannot:
.. Android 5, 6 or 7
.. HDR, DTSX (according to specs)
.. Kodi 17 (requires android 5 and above)
.. stream kodi 4k, hevc265, 10 bit videos

Q10pro is a “serious” android box. Certainly a great choice for those looking to great playback of UHD4K and HD AUDIO files besides all the usuals.

After using it for a few more days, i can say it is a natural upgrade from q16.

As new hevc265 file compression std and 10 bit color becomes more common, u gotta move along.

And kodi 17.0 just got official.

There were some apps reportedly cant work on android6, i could get them to work on android7.

Go for it!

What is the differences between H8 plus and Q5 pro?

The key different is the chipset. H8 plus chipset is for online streaming, Q5 pro use for Online streaming and offline streaming. If you read Q5 Pro thread, you find supported codec for audio and video which not exist in H8.

If you encounter problem with Kodi ->123movies, please follow the below :

1). Get proxy address from 123movies menu.


2). Select the next proxy server to bypass the blocking from ISP.

q16 users... take note... should stick with kodi 16.1 jarvis which is very stable.

q16 with android 4.4.2 cannot take kodi 17 krypton.
