which mean it wont give a 4k source unless your TV supports it. :/.
4K UHDTV (2160p) is 3840 pixels wide by 2160 pixels tall (8.29 megapixels), which is four times as many pixels as 1920x1080 (2.07 megapixels)my experience with Q16 playback 4k material:
there are many video output settings in Q16, the highest two are 2160p 24hz (or fps) and 2160p 30hz.
if your TV is full hd and not 4k, Q16 will detect it, will not u allow to set higher than 1080p 60hz.
if yr TV is 4K, it will allow u to set any of the available settings.
note the HDMI cable Q16->TV must also be 4K compliant.
the source, i.e file for playback - most 4k videos at this time are uhd 4k 24fps or 30fps, so no problem for Q16.
there are some uhd 4k 60fps - these will not play well on Q16.
such videos are rare and very few external devices can handle 4k 60 fps at this time.
but the latest higher end 4k tv's can play with direct usb.
i have played a few 4k movies with Q16 on my 4K tv.
verdict =
