no wonder the stocks gone like "sold out", all boxes opened to check for "defects" ..
then toysrus wont just tape it back and sell, of course they will return the opened boxes to supplier .. so probably not really "sold out", just stock return ..

and if more ppl like that, fussy for some paint chips .. they should go make 1 themselves ... even early release of hasbro even taktom had some qc issues .. paint chip is acceptable, they were mass factory release .. unless it's some broken or missing parts, then it's a good reason to exchange for new one ..

btw, just my 2cents before "collectors" going defensive on this...
*
Paint chips might be acceptable for a rm49.90 deluxe. but that price is history now =)

Imagine eating a rm8 spaghetti with 4 meatballs then suddenly the price raise ro rm11 and the meatballs size shrunk by 20% . You can do either one (keep the price/ "shrink" the portion ) but not both at the same time . Its just consumer nature to expect some improvement to justify price increase .

Transform and.... ROCK ON cool.gif !!! They look like customs but are in fact actual products. Nice use of Animated Lazerbeak & Ratbat though. I'm afraid the "hair" may deteriorate over time sweat.gif.

or they can keep their money and not eat it
buy the ingredients and make the meal themselves
instead of complaining and touching other meatballs while searching the bigger meatballs among the rest to put on their plate .. and giving other customers stained meatballs

you cant expect perfection everytime.. and pls dont be hard on others just to make yourself easy over small things that can be fix or do on your own..

this is general ya.. small opinion frm smallfry like me..hehe

I am really looking forward to collect the new movie AOE toy line..but the toys disappointed me, and the price was a hindrance too. Evasion looked good but did not have the wow factor, at least for me. End up just buying the AD-01 Optimus Prime and i think that will be it.

Focusing new toy line now...Oritoys Acid Storm thumbup.gif yeah this will be a good toyline to crossover with the MP set smile.gif

Fuh. RM499 for a reissue, with less paint apps and QC issues. Hais. I'm beginning to wonder whether this is really worth it.

Based on the new vid in seibertron, the fella mentioned that the price was set wrongly and was launched earlier, it is supposed to be priced at USD150 or USD160 so RM499 is about right

the quality kinda suck.....loose + super tight joints combo sweat.gif

The Hasbro Grimlock price here made my preorder for Takara MP Ultra Magnus seemed like a incredibly good deal (<rm500).

√Not going to argue much over this.

If say u pay rm 5.00 for a char kuew teoy roadside...if quality not up to ur standard..u x complain much.

But if say u pay rm 50 for the same dish at some high class restaurant...u have every rights to demand perfection for it. Otherwise why should they charge u premium over it.

Same goes to the toy la. If u pay rm 50...u can still stand slight defect...rm 500 for a mp reissue that sold for nearly doubling its price last time!??? I think u should have certain rights to demand quality.

Just my humble opinion lah. Not meaning to offend any taikun here.

So we shouldn't complain when Foreign workers(Bangladeshi,Indonesians, etc) service like shiat and complain when professionals like doctors and lawyers make a mistake? It doesn't make a difference, but you must understand in today's world's of mass production there is no such thing as perfection, take it as it is,or imagine you're the guy eating the stained meatballs.
I remembered reading a report about Hasbro factory in China, how the workers were paid chicken feed, how they were dining and sleeping with the rats and how much time they were given to assemble specific amount of toys,so I think that we're lucky with only a bit of paint chip. It's not like it's gonna last forever, the paint and chrome will chip and erode over time.

So let me get this straight. TRU allowed you to go through several boxes, mixed and matched the components, and LATER TRU reseals the boxes and sells them off to other buyers as MISB condition, at full sticker price of RM499?

If this is true, we should file a complaint at a Consumer Tribunal against TRU for unethical practice by misrepresenting its products as MISB if it has been tampered with prior to sale.

TRU is selling these sham of MP (the KO version seems to have better paint apps) higher than TakTom pricing, with no guarantee that it is MISB, at full price. Wow. Just wow.

This is beyond belief.

When Hasbro released the MP Soundwave, I thought Hasbro was heading down the correct path (at TRU prices, Hasbro Soundwave was a better buy compared to TakTom's set). Now all that effort goes to waste.

Ha,this is TRU,a big company that can afford the loss, imagine if it happened in one of the smaller shops like 1toy,after opening 3 boxes,"Ah Soon, semua ada paint chip la....".......how they gonna sell those opened boxes?
