In penang qb... tru masterpiece grimlock is selling like hot cakes... came in roughly 15 piece yesterday n 5 piece today... now left only 3piece... all with defect... chrome with bubble popping up... got one for myself... check the tail carefully cos it is chrome... many of them bought home without inspecting... me too... thats why have to travel back n luckily the supervisor let me to inspect another box... some with chip paint on the sword which is red metalic... so I swap here swap there n ended up with a good one... pheww...

So is Hasbro Malaysia or Tru Malaysia scalpers?If Hasbro Masterpiece Grimlock is priced at USD59.95 in the US,how does it become RM499.95 in Malaysia?Maybe because it's easier to ship to US from China?Next Hasbro Sideswipe release maybe will be priced at RM299.95?

I feel u bro. Partly the blame is due to overzealousness of the buyers which allow hasbro malaysia to exploit.

I'm not interested in buying it but I've read a lot about scalpers in the forum and I was curious why we prefer to feed big scalpers.Also I'm curious why last time below Rm300 also no one want but now RM500 rebut like crazy?

for that price, why not go for Takara?

The first box that I bring home, the grimlock itself defect...
so go n exchange... but I want to keep the first box itself because its the nicest where else all box r damage...
so open the 2nd box... grimlock perfect but the sword paint chip... so I say its not so ok...
open the 3rd box which is already open earlier by someone... the grimlock is not ok... but the sword is ok...
so ended up with 1st box crown n gun, 2nd box grimlock and 3rd box sword...
if anyone really wana get it, u really need to check it... cos the qc is damn shit...

no wonder the stocks gone like "sold out", all boxes opened to check for "defects" ..
then toysrus wont just tape it back and sell, of course they will return the opened boxes to supplier .. so probably not really "sold out", just stock return ..

and if more ppl like that, fussy for some paint chips .. they should go make 1 themselves ... even early release of hasbro even taktom had some qc issues .. paint chip is acceptable, they were mass factory release .. unless it's some broken or missing parts, then it's a good reason to exchange for new one ..

btw, just my 2cents before "collectors" going defensive on this...
