QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Apr 24 2014, 12:37 PM) That is why I feel appointments of Spurs and City are bad. Ideally you would want someone from the club and has played the game. Examples being Bayern, BVB and Barca. After Paisley's retirement as manager he was appointed as a director and served as an advisor to King Kenny. Guess what? He lasted in this role until 1992. This coinciding with Dalglish's departure started the rot at our club. Somewhere along the way in the subsequent years we forget how to play the "Liverpool Way". This would in theory not happen if there is a DoF to ensure the continuation of this including appointing managers and signing players that fit our philosophy. But that was in theory so like you said it might not work for British club structures as we appoint "managers" instead of "head coaches/trainers". I hope maybe someday Stevie would assume this role for us if he decides not to venture into a coaching career. I'm not sure abt Uncle Bob role...always though advisors is just a way to honour him lest he felt left out like Shankly. Not sure if its relevant though? King Kenny is the advisors now , no? Barca DoF is a joke now as for BM, their DoF is former player as are most of the posts relevant to football, most at one time or another have clash with coaches, some even undermined coaches. There's a reason they're known as FC Hollywood. All in Of course there's pros & cons, but from what i can see, the cons overwrite the pros....so might as well do away with the post of DoF...but thats just me. Me old school edi mah

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Apr 24 2014, 12:44 PM) Is it possible to make it taller though? A steeper slope maybe. Ayre said there is 28,000 on waiting list. The demand is there. 45,000 + 28,000. You do the math. we will get more new bloods when we constantly challenging the titles. so i guess the 28000 seats are for future reference.

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Apr 24 2014, 12:44 PM) Is it possible to make it taller though? A steeper slope maybe. Perhaps the Centenary Stand is possible. I don't think the Kop will be touched though. And also won't be because of traditionalist fans. Who knows... But anyway, expanding the Main Stand will be intimidating enough for visiting teams already.

QUOTE(yeelong @ Apr 24 2014, 01:01 PM) i tot our home crowd always recorded capacity crowd each of every game every year? It's hard to get tickets at Anfield esp for big matches. They sell out very quickly with the current capacity. So, I think we can easily sell out a 60 k.

u must understand the stadium will allocate several seats for travelling fans whether or not they show up.
Also, they have to leave some space so as not to overpack the stadium.

Average of 44k of 45k is very very good. And no there has been no home game that failed to attract more than 44k this season. No point comparing attendance so far into the past when both results and performance are unsatisfactory. There are only a handful of those over the years and compare that to the extra revenue you can get from every other game with the extra 20k or 30k fans each game? Fans will be more willing to pay for the sort of exciting football we put on these days. This post has been edited by Cloud0890: Apr 24 2014, 01:59 PM
