What would look better on a titanium kmac? Taihao dolch or olivette?
*
I'd vote olivette unless you joined the GB for raindrop (raindrop blues way nicer), otherwise Dolch would be fine if you're going for the understated look.

I wasn't into mkb at the time yet lol. So dolch AND olivette?
*
For me, BSP and Dolch has the best understated colours. The taihao sets are pretty damn good and cheap for the price, so experimenting wouldn't be an issue anyway.

Personally, I prefer for my keyboard to have a bit of life, so I like vibrant colours and whatnot.

Keycaps more expensive than your keyboard. laugh.gif
*
LOL!

Yeah... original Dolch costs more than your brand spanking new keyboard.

Just use the ori keycaps until you are bored first, then ony switch.

look at the solder pad,
square indicates positive.

solder 1 first.
then turn it on via plugging to pc.
top row 3rd key from left  to change led mode

Figured it out yesterday night. Mess around until 4am.

I'm planning to solder some LEDs onto the unutilized slots on the PCB but reverse mounted to give my pad the sick underglow.

QUOTE(vincent09 @ May 21 2014, 09:15 AM)
Like Ergodox but all need DIY .... which I can't do it rightly ... cry.gif
*
It's not hard. Pretty easy in fact after soldering the GHpad. I was like.... wtf, thank you Hakko + Kestrel!

QUOTE(justnits @ May 21 2014, 09:21 AM)
i got a dox and built it by myself.
if you want, i can provide assembly service for you
*
After soldering the GHpad... I also offer assembly. Lube and stickering also can do. If you want, I will sand your acryllic case to give you the frosted look, and I can repaint the top layer for you with the colour of your choice. All services costs money, but I will give you full account.

Nice. Your layers quite even and the red comes out nicely. Did you put the finishing coat? Seems quite matte from the picture.

thanks man thumbup.gif

sanded (and wet sanded) it for like days to get the smoothest surface possible.

then after the paint job is done, lightly wet sanded it with 2k grit to remove the gloss and spray matte coat.

I personally prefer matte over gloss.

Nice. Good technique.

Topre. Don't waste time with halfway switches. 1k budget shouldn't need to worry about prices.

That or get the Orion.
