check on first page of this thread and u will understand the chinese, inb4 lazy to check>> 红轴-mx red, 黑轴-mx black, 茶轴-mx brown, 青轴-mx blue. i have bought from the same store and they are reliable.
and for your information, the filco selling in garage sale is by clawhammer and it is cherry mx brown.
told ya most ppl discourage razer keyboards here, here they are looking typing keyboards and the blackwidow ultimate is more catered to the gaming bling bling community. razer keyboards looks nice but its build quality cannot be compared to those like filco, ducky, deck, ikbc, etc; and yet razer is charging for the same, if not higher price for their keyboards. moreover, there's a general hatred toward keyboards with non-standard key layout which is f*cking hard to get replacement keycaps

Yep you are right. Well fan boys will be fan boys, I meant it both way. tongue.gif

Unless I got it wrong most of the sites I provided or Google provided are very reputable sites whom I am sure will not give bull shit cause if they give stupid reviews you can actually sue them and get your $$$, unlike some enthusiast who talk kok sing song but got no $$$ except bu11sh1t!!!!

Well, to be honest, no. I know nothing about that. Do I have to navigate the page through proxy sites like Kproxy or HideMyAss?

Ya but if you look at my earlier comment my advised was to get the 2013 version which is cherry mx blue. You are telling me about the 2014 blackwidow series which I also did mention about their questionable razer switches.

Unless 2013 version also has issues. I would like to know. I am using one and am very interested. My own research tell me its one of the top 5. That is why I want to know the reason behind his comments. I spend some good money on this keyboard. If it has issues I would like to know.

My source Lifehacker.com, PCmag.com, Tomsguide.com, Pcworld.com, Amazon.com, ok here is my google results google.com best mech keyboard

Come on guys enlighten me (wesak day just around the corner  tongue.gif )

the 2013 ones are indeed cherry mx blues. sorry if i misunderstood you

the reason why razer, corsair and other main brands popup is because of:

1) advertising was done. more exposure, more people know of their products, more people buy.

2) they're the more well known brands for what they're supposed to do. take razer for example;

Premise 1: they produce peripherals that is the best
Premise 2: they also produce mechanical keyboards
Conclusion: they produce mechanical keyboards that is the best

3) they make various products and not focused on one thing. when someone knows one part of their product they might or might not know their other products too.

4) macros. use it or not laypeople would think having more keys that you might not use is actually cool. *according to my friends*

Brands like filco, ducky, or any other elite keyboard brands that you might not have heard of have their own quality that you would have to try and feel.

like what ntw have mentioned to you. they take things into account seriously since they can be considered as enthusiast grade mkbs. the PCB they use, the controller they use. maybe keycaps that they use even. It's all comparable.

Bro you also did not read my earlier post la, I ask that guy to get the 2013 cherry mx blue version, also mention and agree with you that the new razer 2014 green and orange switch is kinda questionable.

Ok I know you and don't want US to push our points.

other side of the PCB which I do believe same with ducky and etc apart from colour

BTW the rings are really worth more than what I paid. Just installing them was a bummer.

Yes I do agree with you. I'm not a fan boy or anything. My point is irregardless of how big the brand is if the product or sub product range cannot hold water (bad) soon the whole brand will be going down the drain (good example is Blackberry, I know off topic just giving examples of brands and what happens when things go wrong).

I'm not saying which brand is better, I'm sure all of them are good or bad depending on the user. Just that none of them are glaringly bad. If Razer keyboards are so bad then I'm sure they will go the way of Blackberry. That is my point. One can claim the world but unless there is some truth in that claim then there is no way for the product to get where it is. Can we at least agree on this?

aite sir. the whole point of the discussion is to suggest a good quality MECHANICAL keyboard right? sure, all the mentioned keyboards are great(razer included) if compared to a membrane keyboard (and thats how the reviews are making the comparisons). but when you compare the razer bwu with other keyboard enthusiast brands, it really does lose in terms of build quality, keycap compatibility, and ease of MOD-ability.

question: how often have u come across a problematic filco? and how often do u come across a problematic razer?

we dont google (especially those tech website, they know nut about mechanical keyboards)
I have used almost 15 mechanical keyboards from last year until now.
None of them was Razer.

I cant justify it to be even decent, especially you see other brand user like Ducky can change their keyboard casing, key caps set easily.
While you paying the same price for it you can't do anything further.

Biggest problem would be resolution and durability. Only good for 3d novelties because other methods are cheaper/better for others.
