the laptop DOES touch the frame. I'd say the material of the cooler is important. The purpose of the cooler master fan is to cool off the the material, that helps dissipate heat, rather than to blow the laptop.

huhuhuuu..just bought coolermaster Notepal W1.. 3 fan..massive.. running cool.. can feel the diff la.. the cpu and GC part cool, cant feel any heat.. the thing now is the hdd.. notepal cool it a bit la...
what mervyn said is true la.. the fan is not to blow the laptop..it is to cooldown the notepal.. in the meantime it also boost more air into the cpu blower..
u guys should buy it during pc fair.. get it arnd RM125 .. with free casing fan..

How to check cpu and GC temperature? I'm using Everest which can detect the HDD temperature only.

I think it works by increasing airflow beneath your lappy. Most of them do it this way. I feel the housing only gets cooler. The notepal W1 is the one for BIG widescreens right? Looks good in black. Its also a USB Hub  ? How many ports?

I bought mine for RM29.90 from Aone Plus, some chapalang brand. But very good, my laptop doesn't heat up that much anymore. Plus it's ultra light and slim. Satisfied!

Cooler master notepal, I saw thts 2 size in All IT, One is smaller 1 priced at RM8+, another slidely bigger size priced over RM1++,
anyone knows which one suit my dell 6400 better?
